Kharestan-e Olya (Persian : خارستان عليا‎, also Romanized as Khārestān-e ‘Olyā and Khārastān ‘Olyá; also known as Khārestān and Khārestān-e Bālā)^[1] is a village in Dezhkord Rural District, Sedeh District, Eqlid County, Fars Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 255, in 64 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Dezhkord Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in Sedeh District, Eqlid County, Fars Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 7,438, in 1,703 families. The rural district has 14 villages.

Sedeh District is a district (bakhsh) in Eqlid County, Fars Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 17,507, in 4,026 families. The District has two cities: Sedeh & Dezhkord. The District has three rural districts (dehestan): Aspas Rural District, Dezhkord Rural District, and Sedeh Rural District.
