The band debuted "Kick Me" live at Camden Underworld on August 21, 2014 in London. It was also part of the band's set list on their five month long tour with Pierce the Veil in November 2014, dubbed the World Tour. [3] Speaking about the meaning behind the song, singer Kellin Quinn stated, "It doesn't matter what anyone thinks about you, as long as you know who you are inside." [4]
The music video for the song was shot on location at Camden Underworld live during the band's set in London. It premiered on the official Epitaph Records YouTube channel on Monday, November 10, 2014. It was directed by the Sitcom Soldiers.

Pierce the Veil is an American rock band formed in San Diego, California, in 2006. It was founded by brothers Vic and Mike Fuentes after the disbanding of Before Today, which formed out of the San Diego punk scene. Jaime Preciado and Tony Perry joined the group in 2007, on bass and lead guitar respectively.
Sleeping with Sirens is an American rock band from Orlando, Florida, currently residing in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The band currently consists of Kellin Quinn, touring lead guitarist Tony Pizzuti, Nick Martin, Justin Hills and Matty Best. The band was formed in 2009 by members of For All We Know and Paddock Park. The group is currently signed to Sumerian Records and have released seven full-length albums and an acoustic EP.
With Ears to See and Eyes to Hear is the debut studio album by American rock band Sleeping with Sirens. It was released on March 23, 2010, through Rise Records. The album debuted at number 7 on Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart, and at number 36 on Top Independent Albums. It received praise in particular for singer Kellin Quinn's vocals.
