Kill the Sexplayer is a single and an EP by American post-hardcore band Girls Against Boys, released on February 13, 1995 by Touch and Go Records. [2] There were two versions released. The first version was a promotional single, mainly used to promote the song's appearance in the film Clerks , and had only consisted of one track. The second version was released as an EP, which consisted of the title track and three tracks recorded live on Bernard Lenoir's radio program. [3] [4]

The band released albums on the labels Adult Swim, Touch and Go Records, Geffen Records, and Jade Tree from 1990 to 2002. The band then sporadically played shows from 2003 until 2009 when they became inactive as a whole. In 2013, Girls Against Boys briefly toured and self-released their first new material in 11 years. After another hiatus in 2017, they reunited for a longer term in 2021.

"Lump" is a song by alternative rock band the Presidents of the United States of America. It was released in 1995 and featured on their self-titled debut album (1995). The song reached number one on the US Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart same year. Composer Chris Ballew said that the lyrics combined his own history of having a benign tumor in the head with a vision he had of a woman in a swamp, while employing the word "lump" because Ballew was fond of it. The musical part was described by Ballew as him "trying to write a Buzzcocks song". Ballew considers it his favorite composition.

It was released in different configurations, such as a vinyl which only consisted of the title track, a CD which consisted of the title track and the b-side "If Glamour Is Dead", and a CD which consisted of the title track plus "Cash Machine" and the non-album tracks "If Glamour Is Dead" and "Viva Roma Star".
