Kostanjevica (pronounced  [kɔˈstaːnjɛʋitsa] ) is a village in the Municipality of Šentrupert in southeastern Slovenia. It is a dispersed settlement in the hills north of Šentrupert in the historical region of Lower Carniola. The municipality is now included in the Southeast Slovenia Statistical Region. [2]

Šentrupert is a village in the traditional Lower Carniola region in southeastern Slovenia. In the past it was the cultural and economical centre of the Mirna Valley, but after the railway line bypassed the town the centre shifted to nearby Mirna. It is the seat of the Municipality of Šentrupert.
