CapMetro Rail is a hybrid rail system that serves the Greater Austin area in Texas and is owned by CapMetro, Austin's primary public transportation provider. The Red Line is CapMetro's first and currently only rail line, and connects Downtown Austin with Austin's northwestern suburbs. The line operates on 32 miles (51 km) of existing freight tracks, and serves nine stations. After a series of delays, CapMetro Rail was inaugurated in March 2010. CapMetro added Friday evening and Saturday afternoon and evening regularly scheduled service on March 23, 2012. In 2022, the line had a ridership of 466,800, or about 1,500 per weekday as of the third quarter of 2023.

Downtown station is a CapMetro Rail hybrid rail station in Austin, Texas. It is located in Downtown Austin at the corner of Fourth and Neches Street behind the Austin Convention Center. It is the current southern terminus of the Red Line. It was also the smallest, but busiest CapMetro Rail station, before it was rebuilt and expanded.
Crestview station is a CapMetro Rail hybrid rail station and CapMetro Rapid bus rapid transit station in Austin, Texas. It is at the edge of the Crestview neighborhood of North Austin, at the corner of Airport Boulevard and North Lamar Boulevard. The North Lamar Transit Center is one mile (1.6 km) north of the station, and the Highland Mall Transit Center is 1⁄2 mile (0.8 km) to the southeast. There is no on-site parking at the Crestview station. Riders must park at the North Lamar Transit center and take buses 1 or 801 south to the train. With Project Connect, the Blue and Orange Lines will have a connection to this station.

The Navi Mumbai Metro is a rapid transit system in the city of Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. The planning and construction of the Navi Mumbai Metro was overseen by the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO). The system is planned to consist of five rail lines covering a total distance of 106.4 kilometres (66.1 mi), out of which one is operational and the other four are being planned. The foundation stone for the project was laid on 1 May 2011, with a target completion date of 2014. After over 9 years of delays, due to slowdowns in construction caused by lack of labour and adequate funding, along with land acquisition issues, the Line-1 of the metro commenced operations on 17 November 2023.

Project Connect is a transit expansion program by the Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority (CapMetro) in Austin, Texas, U.S. The program was approved by voters on November 3, 2020, in a local election concurrent with the 2020 presidential election.
The Green Line is a proposed commuter rail line for connecting the Northeast Austin area of Colony Park with the downtown Austin, Texas area in the United States. It is still in the planning stages as a part of CapMetro's Project Connect.
The Orange Line is a proposed north-south light rail line that will serve the central spine of Austin from North Lamar to Stassney Lane. It is in the planning stages as a part of CapMetro's Project Connect. It is estimated to begin revenue service as early as 2029.
Broadmoor station is a planned CapMetro Rail hybrid rail infill station in Austin, Texas. The station is being built to improve access to The Domain, a major high-density business, retail, and residential center. Construction was expected to begin in September 2020 with service starting in 2022, but was delayed until the station's groundbreaking on January 18, 2022, thereby pushing the opening date back to 2024. Upon opening of the new station as well as the forthcoming McKalla station at Austin FC's Q2 Stadium, the nearby Kramer station is expected to close. Brandywine Realty and the Charles Schwab Corporation contributed funds for the station's construction.
McKalla station is a CapMetro Rail hybrid rail station in Austin, Texas. The station was built to provide convenient access to Q2 Stadium. Ground broke on construction on July 18, 2022, and the new station opened on February 24, 2024, coinciding with the first home match of Austin FC's 2024 season. The station opened at 10:00 a.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, with rides being free. Construction costs were estimated at $13 million, with total costs estimated at $60 million. The station is double-tracked, includes two regular service side platforms, with the southbound platform serving both northbound and southbound trains during special events and a gated walkway to the east side of the tracks. Soon after opening of the new station, along with Broadmoor station to the north, nearby Kramer station is expected to be closed. The station was designed and constructed by Stacy Witbeck. Finishing touches for the station are expected to be completed in April or May 2024.
