Krishna Kulasekaran (born 14 February 1978) credited as Krishna is an Indian actor who mainly appears in Tamil cinema. [1] He is the younger brother of Tamil film director Vishnuvardhan.
Krishna's father is film producer K.K.Sekar (Pattiyal Sekar) and his brother is noted film director, Vishnuvardhan. [2] He went to St. Bede's Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School in Chennai, studied at Loyola College and graduated with an MBA in finance in the United States. [3] He worked for a year and a half in the IT industry and started his own business that was doing well. [4] He has also undergone training in Jazz and worked as a dancer/choreographer before he left for US.
As an actor, he first faced the camera for Mani Ratnam's Anjali [3] and later appeared in Iruvar and Santosh Sivan's The Terrorist . [5] He was also chosen to play the younger version of Rajinikanth's character in Thalapathi , but the character was later scrapped because it affected the film's length. [6] He also starred in small role with Udhaya (2004). [7]
He played his first lead role in Alibhabha , which was produced by his father. [8] The film met with favourable reviews, but was not a commercial success. [4] After his first film, he wanted to do a gangster film based on a true incident in North Madras, called Madras to be directed by Five Star Krishna, but it was shelved because of misunderstandings between the director and the producer. [4] His next two films Kattradhu Kalavu (2010) [9] [10] and Kazhugu (2012) were also produced by his father. [11] In Kazhugu he played someone who recovers bodies of suicide victims who jump off a cliff. [12] It received positive response. [13] [14]
After appearing in a brief role in Vallinam (2014), he starred in RS Infotainment's horror comedy Yaamirukka Bayamey (2014). [15] His next films were Vanavarayan Vallavarayan (2014) and Vanmam (2014). [16] [17] In 2015, he starred in action comedy Yatchan directed by his brother Vishnuvardhan. [18] In 2017, he made his comeback including four thriller releases with Yaakkai , Pandigai , Nibunan and Vizhithiru . In 2018, he appeared in Veera , Kalari and Maari 2 . He acted in Kazhugu 2 (2019), sequel to the 2012 film, Kazhugu. However, the film came out of mixed reviews. [19]

Billa is a 2007 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film directed by Vishnuvardhan. It is a remake of the 1980 film of the same name starring Rajnikanth, which itself is a remake of 1978 Hindi film Don, starring Amithabh Bachchan. The story revolves around the issue of land grabbing and how the protagonist becomes involved in it. The film was also dubbed into Telugu and was released as Veedinthe on 30 December 2011 and into Hindi as Main Hoon Dada No.1 in 2013.

The story revolves around four persons, referred to as "Kazhugu", who recover the bodies of suicide victims who jump off a cliff. The film, based on real-life incidents, has been shot in real locations, including Kodaikanal, Theni, and Munnar. It had been in making since late 2010 and eventually released on 16 March 2012, to mixed reviews and became a sleeper hit.

Santhanam is an Indian actor who has predominantly appeared in Tamil films as a comedian and also has appeared in films in a lead role. Yaamirukka Bayamey is a 2014 Indian Tamil-language horror comedy film written and directed by debutant Deekay and produced by Elred Kumar. The cast includes Kreshna, Oviya, Rupa Manjari, Karunakaran, and Anaswara Kumar. 15 technicians were introduced in the film, which started shooting in Nainital in October. Previously titled as Illa Aanalum Irukku, the film released on 9 May 2014 and received positive reviews. The film was later remade into Kannada as Namo Boothatma and in Telugu as Next Nuvve. Yaamirukka Bayamey is based on the 1998 Korean film The Quiet Family.

Vanmam (transl. Vengeance) is a 2014 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by Jai Krishna, a former assistant of Kamal Haasan. It stars Vijay Sethupathi, Kreshna and Sunaina. The film has music scored by S. Thaman and cinematography by Balabharani. It is a rural tale about the life of two friends, played by Sethupathi and Kreshna. In spite of expectations the movie didn't perform well at the box office. The film was highly panned by the critics for its poor screenplay.
