Kuantan Bypass, Federal Route 3, AH18, is a main highway bypass in Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia.
The Kuantan Bypass starts at Kuantan Airport South Interchange, at its interchange with the Federal Route 2, the main trunk road of the central of Peninsular Malaysia.
At most sections, the Kuantan Bypass was built under the JKR R5 road standard, allowing maximum speed limit of up to 90 km/h.
There are no alternate routes or sections with motorcycle lanes.
It was built in 1977 until it was completed in 1979.
The upgrade from trunk road bypass into dual carriageway bypass was begun in 2005 and was completed in 2007.

Malaysian Federal Roads System, is the main national road network in Malaysia. All Federal Roads in Malaysia are under the purview of the Ministry of Works (MOW). According to the Ministerial Functions Act 1969, the MOW is responsible to plan, build and maintain all Federal Roads gazetted under the Federal Roads Act 1959. However, most of the Federal roads' projects were built and maintained by the Malaysian Public Works Department (JKR), which is also one of the implementing agencies under the MOW.
The Federal Route 2 is a major east–west oriented federal highway in Malaysia. The 276.9 kilometres (172 mi) road connects Port Klang in Selangor to Kuantan Port in Pahang. The Federal Route 2 became the backbone of the road system linking the east and west coasts of Peninsula Malaysia before being surpassed by the East Coast Expressway E8.
Federal Route 3 is a main federal road running along the east coast of Peninsula Malaysia. The 739 kilometres (459 mi) federal highway connects Rantau Panjang in Kelantan until Johor Bahru in Johor. The entire FT3 highway is gazetted as a part of the Asian Highway Network route 18.
Muar Bypass, or Federal Route 224, is a major highway bypass and the first highway built in Bandar Maharani Muar, a royal town in Johor, Malaysia. The 13.8 km (8.6 mi) highway bypass linking Parit Bunga in the northwest to Parit Sakai in the southeast. The Kilometre Zero of the Federal Route 224 starts at Parit Sakai junctions.
Tun Razak Highway, Federal Route 12(Lebuhraya Tun Razak), also known as Segamat-Kuantan Highway(Lebuhraya Segamat-Kuantan), Asian Highway Route 142, is a 146.8 kilometres (91 mi) federal highway running from the town of Segamat, Johor to Gambang before proceeding another 38 kilometres (24 mi) via Federal Route 2 to Gambang near Kuantan, Pahang. This two-lane federal road is named in honor of Tun Abdul Razak, Malaysia's second Prime Minister which was known as Malaysia's Father of Development. The highway is part of the Asian Highway Network of route 142.
Federal Route 23, or Jalan Muar–Tangkak–Segamat, is a federal road in Johor, Malaysia, connecting Segamat in the north and Parit Bunga in the south. It is also a main route to North–South Expressway Southern Route via Tangkak Interchange.
Federal Route 24, or Jalan Muar–Yong Peng, is a federal road in Johor, Malaysia. The roads connects Muar in the west to Yong Peng in the east. It is also a main route to North-South Expressway via Yong Peng Interchange.
Federal Route 54, or Jalan Kuala Selangor–Kepong or Jalan Kepong in Kuala Lumpur side, is a main federal road in Selangor, Malaysia. The road connects Asam Jawa near Kuala Selangor to Kepong near Kuala Lumpur. It is a main route to Kuala Lumpur from Federal Route 5. Federal Route 54 became the backbone of the road system linking Kuala Selangor to Kuala Lumpur before being surpassed by the Kuala Lumpur–Kuala Selangor Expressway E25 in 2011.
Federal Route 50, or Jalan Batu Pahat–Kluang–Mersing, is a main federal road in Johor, Malaysia. The road connects Batu Pahat in the west to Jemaluang in the east. It is also a main route to North-South Expressway Southern Route via Ayer Hitam Interchange.
Jalan Seremban-Kuala Pilah or Federal Route 51 is the main federal road in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, connecting Seremban to Kuala Pilah. It is a relatively busy road in Negeri Sembilan.
Jerangau–Jabor Highway, Federal Route 14 is a 179.63-km federal highway running from the city of Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu, Malaysia to Kuantan, Pahang. The highway runs in parallel with the Federal Route 3 - while the FT3 highway is a coastal highway, the Jerangau–Jabor Highway FT14 runs through the interior area instead. Although the distance from Kuala Terengganu to Kuantan via both FT3 and FT14 highways are about the same, the Jerangau–Jabor Highway FT14 significantly shortens the travelling time due to fewer towns being passed. Therefore, the Jerangau–Jabor Highway FT14 became the main route from Pahang to Terengganu before the advent of the East Coast Expressway Phase 2 E8.

The highway had two parts - Kota Bharu–Kuala Krai Road and Bentong–Kuala Lipis Road until the completion of the missing link from Kuala Krai to Kuala Lipis, causing the entire FT8 highway to take 99 years to be completed.
