The Sydney Morning Herald (SMH) is a daily tabloid newspaper published in Sydney, Australia, and owned by Nine. Founded in 1831 as the Sydney Herald, the Herald is the oldest continuously published newspaper in Australia and claims to be the most widely-read masthead in the country. The newspaper is published in compact print form from Monday to Saturday as The Sydney Morning Herald and on Sunday as its sister newspaper, The Sun-Herald and digitally as an online site and app, seven days a week. It is considered a newspaper of record for Australia. The print edition of The Sydney Morning Herald is available for purchase from many retail outlets throughout the Sydney metropolitan area, most parts of regional New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory and South East Queensland.
The Wiggles are an Australian children's music group formed in Sydney in 1991. As of 2022, the group members are Anthony Field, Lachlan Gillespie, Simon Pryce, Tsehay Hawkins, Evie Ferris, John Pearce, Caterina Mete and Lucia Field. The Wiggles were founded in 1991 by Field, Murray Cook, Jeff Fatt, Greg Page and Phillip Wilcher. Wilcher left the group after their first album. Page retired in 2006 due to ill health and was replaced by understudy Sam Moran, but returned in 2012, replacing Moran. At the end of 2012, Cook, Fatt and Page retired and were replaced by Gillespie, Pryce and Emma Watkins. Cook and Fatt retained their shareholding in the group and all three continued to have input into its creative and production aspects, while engaging in occasional reunion performances. Watkins departed the group in 2021, with Hawkins taking her place.
John Russell Waters is an English-born Australian film, theatre and television actor, singer, guitarist, songwriter, and musician. He is the son of Scottish actor Russell Waters. John Waters has been in the industry for over 50 years, and was part of the Australian children's television series Play School for 18 years.
Murray James Cook, AM is an Australian musician, actor, and DJ. Cook was one of the founding members of the children's band the Wiggles from 1991 to 2012. Cook provided guitar, vocals, and songwriting in the group, and remained involved with its creative and production aspects after his retirement. In 2013, Cook served as the Wiggles' tour manager. He also remains active in many music projects, including, writing and performing with the Sydney soul-rock band The Soul Movers. He is the father of wheelchair basketball player Georgia Munro-Cook. In 2015, he was one of the members of the Australian jury for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
Abigail Anne "Abi" Tucker is an Australian singer-songwriter and actress. She has had roles in television series-telemovies in Heartbreak High (1994-1995), Water Rats (1999), Wildside (1999), The Secret Life of Us (2001-2003), My Husband, my Killer (2001), McLeod's Daughters (2007-2009), Giggle and Hoot (2010) ABC's Playschool (2006-2010); and in films The New Girlfriend (1996), Angst (2000) and The Wog Boy (2000). Her theatre credits include The Vagina Monologues (2000), Everything's F***ed workshop (2003), The Music and Lyrics of Sean Peter (2003), Breakfast with Jonny Wilkinson (2005), Poor Boy – Music of Tim Finn (2010) and Bell Shakespeare's As You Like It (2015).
Shock Records was an Australian independent record label, branded with the logo Shock or Shock Australia. Founded in 1988, it traded as Shock Records Pty. Ltd, and its publishing arm as Shock Music Publishing Pty. Ltd. Its most prominent sublabel was Permanent Records. After going into receivership in August 2010, company assets were bought by Regency Media Group, and the company was rebranded Shock Entertainment. Regency Media folded in February 2023.
2SM is an Australian radio station, licensed to and serving Sydney, broadcasting on 1269 kilohertz on the AM band. It is owned and operated by Broadcast Operations Group. The SM call sign is taken from the initials of Saint Mary's.

She presented with Australian humourist and broadcaster Wendy Harmer a holiday season version of the Breakfast Show on 702 ABC Sydney.

Club Superstation was a short-lived Australian satellite television service operating from 1985 to 1987.
Beatbox was an Australian music television show broadcast by the ABC. It was created with money from Federal Government's Community Employment Program to provide jobs for 15 unemployed teenagers. All had been jobless for at four months. The teenagers were grouped with some of ABCs production staff to make the show. After 15 episodes in 1985 the funding ran out and the show was to be cancelled but public support led to a second season of 26 episodes in 1986 being funded. This series moved from a Mid Saturday afternoon slot to 12 midday the same day. Beatbox was primarily a music show but also talked about issues relevant to youth. It was last broadcast in 1987.
Rock Around the World was an Australian music television show broadcast by SBS. It was hosted by Basia Bonkowski. It was broadcast from 4 January 1982 and was axed in 1985 and replaced by Kulture Shock. The program played music videos, and interviews with more of a focus on European content than other shows.
Music Video was an Australian music television show broadcast by Channel 10. It broadcast from around Midnight until dawn on Friday and Saturday nights. It was originally produced and hosted by John Torv. Basia Bonkowski took over as host in June 1985 with her first weekend being co host with Torv. The series played music video clips covering a wide range of genres. The series began in 1983 and was axed in January 1984 but was reinstated 9 weeks later after feedback from the audience.
Continental Drift was an Australian music television show broadcast by SBS. It was hosted by Basia Bonkowski who was then hosting Rock Around the World. It was axed in 1985.
Nightmoves was an Australian rock music television show broadcast by Channel Seven from 1977 before moving to Network Ten in 1982. It played film clips, interviews and record reviews and was presented by Lee Simon and produced by Andrew McVitty and Michael Gudinski. In 1985 Simon moved to Channel 9 with the rock music show Rockit.
