The Kuwait national football team is the national team of Kuwait and is controlled by the Kuwait Football Association. Kuwait made one World Cup finals appearance, in 1982, managing one point in the group stages. In the Asian Cup, Kuwait reached the final in 1976 and won the tournament in 1980.
Kuwait English School is an independent and private international school in Kuwait. The main campus of the school is located in Salwa. Al-Salmiya Sporting Club is a Kuwaiti professional football and sports club in Salmiya. They have won the Kuwaiti Premier League four times, most recently in 2000. They were founded in 1964 and the club covers a total area of 94 thousand square metres comprising ten sports: football, volleyball, table tennis, tennis, squash, fencing, judo, taekwondo, karate and athletics.
Kazma Sporting Club is a Kuwaiti professional association football club. Founded in 1964, the club competes in the Kuwaiti Premier League.
Al Jahra Sporting Club is a Kuwaiti professional football club based in Jahra. They won the Kuwaiti Premier League once, in 1990. They participated in the Kuwaiti Premier League 21 times, most recently in the 2007–2008 season. Al Jahra reached the Kuwait Emir Cup final twice in recent times, 1996 and 2002, where they lost to Al Arabi 1–2 and Kuwait Club 0–1.
Kuwait Sports Club is a Kuwaiti professional football club based in Kuwait City. The football team has won Kuwaiti Premier League 18 times. Kuwait SC also has over 50 trophies in Kuwaiti club football history. Kuwait SC plays in the Al Kuwait Sports Club Stadium located in Kaifan, which is the 5th largest stadium in Kuwait. It is the first Kuwaiti club to ever win an Asian title, winning the 2009 AFC Cup, 2012 AFC Cup and 2013 AFC Cup.

Al-Yarmouk is a Kuwaiti professional sports club located in the district of Mishref. It was established on 28 February 1965 in Failaka Island and was the only Kuwaiti club to have been established outside mainland Kuwait at that time. The club was relocated to Kuwait after the 1990–1991 Gulf War, which resulted in the displacement of many inhabitants belonging to Failaka's island settlements. Therefore, due to inadequate facilities after the liberation of Kuwait, it was inevitable that the team had to move to a better and more sustainable location. Other reason for the relocation was due to insufficient means of transportation to Failaka Island for away matches during the regular season.

Bossaball is a team sport that originated in Brazil and was conceptualised by Belgian Filip Eyckmans in 2004. Bossaball is a ball game between two teams, combining elements of volleyball, football, and gymnastics with music into a sport. It is played on an inflatable court featuring a trampoline on each side of the net. The trampolines allow the players to bounce high enough to spike the ball over the net.

The Asian Men's Volleyball Championship was the fourth staging of the Asian Men's Volleyball Championship, a quadrennial international volleyball tournament organised by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) with Kuwait Volleyball Association (KVA). The tournament was held in Kuwait City, Kuwait from 15 to 25 October 1987.

This was the nation's twentieth appearance at the Summer Olympics, having missed the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles because of the Soviet boycott. Oliver Venno is an Estonian volleyball player currently playing for Al Rayyan of the Qatari Volleyball League. He mostly plays at the opposite hitter position but has also played at the outside hitter position on numerous occasions.

David McKienzie is a Filipino American volleyball player. He was a 3 time All-American while playing for California State University, Long Beach. He played for the United States national team at the 2012 Summer Olympics. David's father, William Mckienzie, was a member of the USA national team in the late 60's and an alternate for the 1968 Olympics. David's mother, Elvira Mckienzie, was a national team player for the Philippines in both volleyball and Basketball. David's sister, Joy Mckienzie, was an NCAA Division 1 champion in 1993 at Long Beach State and an All-American.
The Arab Volleyball Championship is a sport competition for national teams, currently held biannually and organized by the AVA, the Arab Volleyball Association.
