The United States Census Bureau defines Spanish Valley as a census-designated place (CDP) in San Juan County, Utah, United States. In common usage, Spanish Valley typically refers to the geographic valley that extends south of the city of Moab, most of which lies within Grand County, the northern neighbor of San Juan County. Maps of the area, for example, label the whole valley—not just the portion in San Juan County—as Spanish Valley.

Rincon(Spanish, "angle" or "corner") is a surf spot located at the Ventura and Santa Barbara County line in Southern California, United States. Also known as the "Queen of the Coast", Rincon is one of the most famous surf spots in California, known around the world for its well-formed waves and long rides. The book 100 Best Surf Spots in the World rates Rincon at 24. It is best at low tide during the winter months when swells are coming mostly from the west and northwest. There is a gated residential community that occupies most of the Rincon beachfront. Public access is provided at parking lots on both sides of the gated community, with restrooms and a picnic area in the upper parking lot, Rincon Beach Park.

New Cuyama is a census-designated place in the Cuyama Valley, Santa Barbara County, California. It was named after the Chumash word for "clams", most likely due to the millions of petrified prehistoric clamshell fossils that are found in the surrounding areas. The town is home to the majority of the utility infrastructure for its residents, including nearby neighbor Cuyama, California. New Cuyama is located very close to the intersection points for Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Ventura and Kern counties. The town is served by Highway 166 and the public-use New Cuyama Airport. The population was 542 at the 2020 census.
