Lake Dash (Albanian : Liqeni i Dashit) is a mountain lake in Albania. It is located in the Accursed Mountains, near the border with Kosovo. It is one of the largest lakes found in the mountain range with an area a little more than 3.5 hectares (8.6 acres). In English, Liqeni i Dashit means "Stag's Lake".
Lake Plav is a lake in Plav municipality, in northeastern Montenegro.
Lake Leqinat or Lake Lićenat is a mountain lake found on the Mount Leqinat in the Accursed Mountains in western Kosovo. This lake is well known throughout Kosovo and is visited by people going to the Rugova Canyon or by people climbing nearby peaks such as Leqinat 2,341 m (7,680 ft) and Guri i Kuq at 2,522 m (8,274 ft). Lake Leqinat is at an elevation of 1,970 m (6,463 ft). Lake Leqinat is just above the village of Kuqishtë.
Tropojë Lake is a small mountain lake in the Accursed Mountains in western Kosovo, only 180m from the Albanian border. The lake has an oval shape and is 100 m (330 ft) in length and 40 m (130 ft) in width. Rivers that originate on this lake flow downwards to join larger rivers and then finally flow into the White Drin.
Little Lake Liqenat or Lake Drelaj is a small lake found on Mount Leqinat that reaches an elevation of 2,341 m (7,680 ft) in the Accursed Mountains range in western Kosovo, near the border with Montenegro. The length of this lake is 100 m (328 ft) and the maximum width is 40 m (131 ft). Little Lake Liqenat at a lower elevation than the much larger Lake Liqenat found in the west of it and only a hill of pine trees separates the two.
Lake Sylbicë is a large mountain lake in the Accursed Mountains range in the north of Albania with an area of 2.8 hectares. It is about 1 km (0.62 mi) from the border with Kosovo. This lake is surrounded with meadows and is just east of the somewhat larger Lake Dash.
The Guri i Kuq Lakes or Liqenet e Kuqishtes are glacial lakes in Kosovo, located on the Guri i Kuq mountain, in the Accursed Mountains range.
Lurë is a former municipality in the Dibër County, northeastern Albania. At the 2015 local government reform it became a subdivision of the municipality Dibër. Its administrator is Leonard Rajta. The population at the 2011 census was 1,096. The region of Lurë is inhabited by the Albanian Lura tribe.
Gramë Lake is a glacial lake situated in the eastern Korab Mountains, close to the Mount Korab and Mali i Gramës in Albania, spanning an area of 5 ha (0.050 km2). It is also the largest and deepest lake within the mountain range. The lake is located 1,750 metres elevation above sea level. Their shores are steep and rocky. It takes water from rainfall, and snowfall. The biggest amount of water can be observed in the late spring, which is due to melting of the snow on the surrounding peaks.
Përlepnicë Lake is a small lake in eastern Kosovo, surrounded by the Gollak mountains. A stream from the South Morava River flows through the lake, making it the largest lake in eastern Kosovo.
Ruboc Lake is a very small lake in Kosovo. Robovac Lake is completely surrounded by the mountains of Gollak. It is the smallest lake in eastern Kosovo being about the same size as an average mountain lake.
The Small Jazhincë Lake is a small lake on the Sharr Mountains in Kosovo. The Small Jazhincë Lake is 2,200 m (7,218 ft) above sea level and has a maximum length of 50 m (164 ft) and a maximum width of 30 m (98 ft). The lake is surrounded by large rocks.
Livadh Lake is a mountain lake in the Shar Mountains in Kosovo. It lies at an elevation of 2,173 m (7,129 ft) above sea level and has a maximum length of 228 m (748 ft) and a maximum width of 120 m (394 ft).
Upper Defsko Lake is a mountain lake situated in the Šar Mountains at an elevation of 2,130 m (6,988 ft) above sea level in Kosovo. A small stream originates from Upper Defsko Lake and flows south to join with the Radika river.
Big lake of Buni Jezercë is one of the largest lakes in the Albanian Alps found in the north of Albania. Big Lake is on an altitude of 1,792 m (5,879 ft) above sea level and is the largest of the 6 lakes found in the Buni Jezercë near the Montenegrin border. Many high peaks surround the lake, including Maja e Jezercës with a height of 2,694 m (8,839 ft). This large mountain lake has an estimated maximum length of 380 m (1,247 ft) and a maximum width of 200 m (656 ft). The area of the lake is almost five hectares.
Liqeni i Dhenve is a small mountain lake in the north of Albania. Dhenve Lake is situated in the Accursed Mountains range near to the border with Kosovo. Dhenve Lake is a round lake, and the river that originates from it flows down into the Gashi River. It has a surface area of approximately 0.8 hectares.
Lurë-Dejë Mountain National Park is a national park in northeastern Albania, spanning an expanded area of 202.42 km2 (78.15 sq mi) since 2018 by encompassing the entire section of Kunora e Lurës, former Zall-Gjocaj National Park, and Dejë Mountain. The park was originally established in 1966 to protect the various ecosystems and biodiversity as Lura National Park. The altitude vary from 1,500–2,300 m (4,921–7,546 ft). The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) has listed the park as Category II. Nevertheless, it is described as an important Bird and Plant Area, because it supports significant bird and plant species.
Mali i Lopës is a mountain located in east-central Albania, on the border between Dibër and Mat municipalities. Its highest peak, Maja e Dhoksit, reaches a height of 2,012 m (6,601 ft). It is surrounded by the valleys of Zalli i Bulqizës to the north, Zalli i Okshtunit to the east, Kaptina e Martaneshit to the south, and the upper valley of Mat to the west.
Sope Lake is the largest natural mountain lake in Albania. Sope Lake is located on the southern slopes of the Mali i Lopës with a surface elevation of 1,734 m (5,689 ft). The maximum length of the lake is about 880 m (2,887 ft) and the maximum width of it is about 730 m (2,395 ft). The lake has a surface area of 29 hectares.
