Lakshay Sheoran is an Indian sport shooter. He won silver medal in trap shooting at the 2018 Asian Games.
Sheoran was born in Jind, Haryana, on 4 November 1998. He is the son of a former wrestling national champion, Somveer pehalwan.
Sheoran started training for shooting in 2014. He initially started air pistol shooting but later switched to shotgun shooting after visiting Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range. [1] [2]
Representing Haryana state, he became national junior champion in the 2016 National Shooting Championships after defeating Manavaditya Singh Rathore of Rajasthan in the men's trap event. [3] He won his second junior national title in 2017 after defeating Rajasthan's Vivaan Kapoor by 41-39. [4] He missed the Olympic quota berth at the Asian Olympic Qualification Tournament in Kuwait City on 15 January, despite winning a bronze as there were only two berths. After leading the field, he missed the berth at the fag end. [5]
At the 2017 ISSF Junior World Cup in Italy, Sheoran was paired with Manisha Keer for the mixed team event. The pair scored 84 out of 100 to qualify for the final round. In the final, they won bronze medal after defeating Sevin Edward Layer and Emma Lee Williams of United States by 34–33. [6] Paired with Vivaan Kapoor and Ali Aman Elahi for the men's trap team event at the 2018 ISSF Junior World Cup, he won bronze medal after the trio scored 328. The gold and silver medallist teams of China and Australia scored 335 and 331 respectively. [7] He achieved country's apex ranking in trap shooting after defeating Manavjit Singh Sandhu and Kynan Chenai in the trials for 2018 Asian Games. [1]
At his maiden appearance in the Asian Games in 2018, he won silver medal (with a score of 43) after losing to Chinese Taipei's Yang Kun-pi's world record-equalling score of 48 in the final. He is one of the three Asian Games silver medallists in the men's trap event from India. The other two were Karni Singh (in 1974) and Manavjit Singh Sandhu (in 2006). [8] [2]
Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore,, is an Indian politician, Olympic medallist in shooting and retired colonel in the Indian Army. He is serving as a cabinet minister at the Industry & Commerce, Youth Affairs & Sports Department in the Government of Rajasthan since December 2023. Rathore was a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha from Jaipur Rural seat since 2014 till 2023.
Manavjit Singh Sandhu is an Indian sport shooter who specializes in trap shooting. He is a Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Awardee in 2006 and Arjuna Awardee in 1998. He is a 4 time Olympian, having represented India at the Athens 2004 Summer Olympics, Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics the London 2012 Summer Olympics and the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics. He is former World No. 1 ranked Trap Shooter.
Ronjan Sodhi is an Indian Double trap shooter. He won two silver medals at the 2010 Commonwealth Games and a gold medal at the 2010 Asian Games. In 2011, he became first Indian to successfully defend a World Cup title. He is also a recipient of the Arjuna Award and Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award (2013).
Manuel Moura Vieira da Silva is a Portuguese sport shooter. He won a bronze medal at the 1999 ISSF World Shotgun Championships in Tampere, Finland, and eventually captured a total of six medals for the men's trap shooting at the ISSF World Cup series. He also competed in the mixed trap shooting at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, and men's trap at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta.
Ankur Mittal is an Indian shooter. He has won gold in Double Trap event at 2018 ISSF World Shooting Championships at Changwon, South Korea and a silver medal at the 2017 ISSF World Shotgun Championships at Moscow, Russia. He has received Bheem Award from Haryana State and Arjuna Award from President of India in 2018.
Kynan Darius Chenai is an Indian shooter in the Trap discipline. He won the Asia Olympic Shooting qualifiers held in Delhi on 28 January 2016. He competed in the 2016 Summer Olympics, placing 19 in the Men's Trap Event.
Anish Bhanwala is an Indian pistol shooter. He is from Karnal Haryana and competes in the 25 meter rapid fire pistol, 25 meter pistol, and 25 meter standard pistol events. Anish joined the Indian Shooting Team in 2017. He represented India at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, 2018 Asian Games, ISSF Junior World Championship 2017 (Suhl), Commonwealth Shooting Championships 2017 (Brisbane), World Shooting Championships 2018 and numerous ISSF Senior and Junior World Cups and South Asian Games, Kathmandu.
Saurabh Chaudhary is an Indian sport shooter. He won the gold medal at the 2018 Asian Games in 10 m Air Pistol. He was the youngest Indian gold medalist at the Asian Games. He had earlier won gold medals and set a new junior world record in the ISSF Junior World Cup in Suhl, Germany. He is the only Indian shooter to win a gold medal in ISSF World Championship, ISSF World Cup, Youth Olympic Games, Asian Games and Asian Air Gun Championship. He broke his own world record with a score of 245.5 and claimed gold in Junior Men 10m Air Pistol at 2018 World Championship in Changwon, Korea.
Amit Sheoran is a pistol shooting coach, who also competed at a national level, He had to leave shooting due to the death of his father. He has produced several national and international-level Indian pistol shooters. He has coached Saurabh Chaudhary.
Angad Vir Singh Bajwa is an Indian sport shooter who competes in the skeet discipline. He holds the skeet final round world record of 60 out of 60.
Chinki Yadav is an Indian sport shooter who competes in the 25 metre pistol event. She secured a quota place for India at the 2020 Summer Olympics by qualifying for the final of the 2019 Asian Shooting Championships.

Manisha Keer is an Indian sport shooter. She won a silver medal at the ISSF World Cup shotgun in Cairo in the team trap shooting along with Kirti Gupta and Rajeshwari Kumari.She won the Silver medal in the Women's trap team event in the 2022 Asian Games.
Rajeshwari Ria Kumari is an Indian sports shooter and fashion designer. Kumari is a trap shooter and has won medals in both domestic and international competitions. She won the silver medal at the Women's trap team event in the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou. Kumari is a co-founder of Saurab Rajeshwari, a luxury Indian clothing and embroidery brand.
Ganemat Sekhon is an Indian sport shooter who specializes in skeet. At the 2021 ISSF World Cup in New Delhi, Sekhon became the first Indian to win a medal in the Women's skeet event of an ISSF World Cup. She is right handed and is right eye dominant. She is part of the Indian shooting team at the Asian Games, Hangzhou, China. She was part of the Indian women's skeet team along with Darshna Rathore and Parinaaz Dhaliwal, that finished fourth in the Asian Games shooting competitions.
Yuvika Tomar is an Indian sport shooter. She won the gold medal in the 2022 National Games of India in the 10 meter air pistol, making her the first female shooter representing Uttar Pradesh to win a gold medal at the national games.

Raiza Dhillon is an Indian sport shooter. She qualified for an Olympic quota berth for the Paris Olympics in the women's skeet event by winning a gold medal at the Asian shotgun championships, an Asian Olympic Qualifier on 20 January 2024 at Kuwait city. She became the first Indian woman to potentially qualify for an Olympic skeet event. It also brought the Indian Olympic quota count to 19. The quota berth won by a shooter is a berth for the country and the Federation, which can nominate any shooter for Olympics, as per set criteria.
