Professor Lalnilawma is an academician and politician from Mizoram, India. He is currently the Minister of State for Rural Developmnet, [1] Horticulture and Public Health Engineering. [2] He is the professor of Rural Development at Mizoram University. He was elected to the Mizoram Legislative Assembly from Tawi constituency in the 2023 general election as Zoram People's Movement candidate. [3]

Education

Lalnilawma earned his Doctor of Philosophy in 1998 from Central Central Luzon State University in the Philippines. Prior to this, he completed his master's degree in Science and bachelor's degree in arts, both at Central Luzon State University and Spicer Adventist University respectively. [4]

C. P. Joshi is an Indian politician and a five-time MLA from Nathdwara, Rajasthan. He was born in a Brahmin family in Nathdwara, Rajasthan and he is a member of the Indian National Congress. Legislative Assembly elections were held in Mizoram on 7 November 2023 to elect all 40 members of Mizoram Legislative Assembly, which had 174 candidates and saw 80.66% voter turnout. The votes were counted on 4 December 2023 which showed the Zoram People's Movement's victory winning 27 seats out of 40.

The Lalduhoma ministry represents the formation of the cabinet of the Indian state Mizoram under the leadership of Lalduhoma, who is elected as the second Chief Minister of Mizoram. The Zoram People's Movement (ZPM), led by Lalduhoma, secured an absolute majority in the 2023 Mizoram Legislative Assembly election, winning 27 out of the 40 seats in the state assembly.
