Lani Aisida (born November 17, 1984) is a Nigerian screenwriter [1] and producer. Among the shows and films he's written for are Oga! Pastor, Skinny Girl in Transit, and Just Not Married, with the last earning him a nomination for a Best of Nollywood Award for Best Screenplay. He has been nicknamed the "King of Web Series" for writing popular webs series. [2] [3]
Born in Lagos State, Aisida studied Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Lagos and received a Bachelor of Science from Oxford Brookes University. [4] He is also a former accountant. [3]
Aisida developed a passion for writing while working as a call center agent where he had the idea for Plus 234, a series released in 2015. [5] He has been called the "King of Web Series" for writing popular webs series [2] [3] including My Name is Azed S2, Rumour Has It, [4] [6] Skinny Girl in Transit, Phases, Game On, and Oga! Pastor (which he also created). He wrote the film screenplay for 2016's Just Not Married which was selected for city-to-city viewing at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). [7] In 2020 he launched the YouTube web series My Birthing Experience which he also produces. [8]
Aisida currently works as Head of Content Development at Ndani TV Communications. He was a finalist for the Best of Nollywood Award for Best Screenplay for Just Not Married. [9] [10]

Olufunke Ayotunde Akindele-Bello popularly known as Funke Akindele or Jenifa, is a Nigerian filmmaker, actress, director, producer and politician. Akindele starred in the sitcom I Need to Know from 1998 to 2002, and in 2009, she won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. for her role in Jenifa, which brought her into fame. Akindele reprised the role in a 2015 television series adaption titled Jenifa's Diary, for which she was named the Best Actress in a Comedy at the 2016 and 2017 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards. Akindele won the same award in 2020 and 2022, making it her fifth win for the Best Actress in a Comedy category. Akindele is the most nominated actress/filmmaker at the AMVCA and currently owns six wins which makes her the actress with most wins. Skinny Girl in Transit is a Nigerian Comedy webseries by NdaniTV. The first episode was released on NdaniTV's YouTube page on 16 Jul 2015. The idea for the series was pitched by Temi Balogun. The series returned to NdaniTV for its fifth season on November 9, 2018 after being on hiatus for over a year. The series returned again for the sixth season, the first episode of season 6 aired on February 14, 2020.
