Camden is a city in and the county seat of Camden County, New Jersey, United States. Camden is located directly across the Delaware River from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. At the 2020 United States census, the city had a population of 71,791 and was ranked as the 14th most populous municipality in New Jersey, after being ranked 12th in 2020. The city was incorporated on February 13, 1828. Camden has been the county seat of Camden County since the county was formed on March 13, 1844. The city derives its name from Charles Pratt, 1st Earl Camden. Camden is made up of over 20 neighborhoods.

Astor Place is a one-block street in NoHo/East Village, in the lower part of the New York City borough of Manhattan. It runs from Broadway in the west to Lafayette Street. The street encompasses two plazas at the intersection with Cooper Square, Lafayette Street, Fourth Avenue, and Eighth Street – Alamo Plaza and Astor Place Station Plaza. "Astor Place" is also sometimes used for the neighborhood around the street. It was named for John Jacob Astor, soon after his death in 1848. Cramer Hill is a neighborhood in the East Camden section of the City of Camden, New Jersey. Cramer Hill was formed upon the annexation of Stockton town by the City of Camden on March 24, 1899. In the early days of East Camden, Cramer Hill was one of several constituent neighborhood names that included Pavonia, Beideman, Stockton, Rosedale, and Marlton. The Pavonia name has become obsolete; Beideman was once known as "North Cramer Hill". The boundaries of Cramer Hill are sometimes considered to be State Street to the south, the Pavonia Railroad Yard and railroad lines to the east, 36th Street to the north, and the Delaware River to the west. Cramer Hill is located in the northeastern section of Camden. The primary road running through Cramer Hill is River Road, which runs southwest to northeast. River Road is a county road known as CR 543. According to the 2000 U.S. Census, the neighborhood has a population of 4,358.

It was created as a partnership between Rowan University and Cooper University Hospital in 2009 by executive order of Governor Jon Corzine. CMSRU opened in summer 2012. It is the first medical school to be opened in New Jersey in over 35 years and the only four-year MD-granting institution located in South Jersey.
One Port Center is an office building in Camden, New Jersey located in the Waterfront entertainment district. The building, opened in 1996, was designed by Michael Graves and is headquarters to the Delaware River Port Authority. The building is situated on a L-shaped site flanks an existing parking garage, the other of which side is a planned future companion building. The location offers panoramic views of the Delaware River and Philadelphia. The eleven-story, 176,000-square-foot building accommodates retail shops and a restaurant at the ground floor. There are four floors of leased office space and six floors of offices for the Port Authority. The executive offices and boardroom are located on the top floor behind three-story yellow aluminum composite columns. The blue and white glazed brick used at the lower speaks to the waterfront location.
