Production

It was announced in May 2022 that Alex Parkinson was directing a narrative film remake of his 2019 documentary, with Woody Harrelson, Simu Liu and Djimon Hounsou cast to star. [1]

Principal photography began in Malta in May 2023 with plans to run through July with Finn Cole joining the cast. [2]

In May 2024, Focus Features acquired the distribution rights to the film. [3]

Release

Last Breath is scheduled to be released in the United States on February 28, 2025. [4]
