Last to Go is the first extended play by Australian recording artist Anthony Callea. Callea worked with Aussie producers David Musumeci, Michael D'Arcy from DNA Songs on the seven-track EP, as well as Jamie Munson (a.k.a. DJ Poet) from the Black Eyed Peas. [3]
Callea had been signed with Sony Music Australia after finishing runner-up to Casey Donovan on the second series of Australian Idol in 2004. The contract ceased in 2009. Over the next three years, Callea worked on new music independently and self-funded his own production company called "Vox Enterprises". [4] In July 2011, it was announced that Callea would preview long-awaited new material at the 2011 Stockholm Pride Festival. [5] [6] Callea wrote with various people including Paul Mac and the Black Eyed Peas producer DJ Poet. Callea said he had spent the past three years crafting a new musical direction after beginning his career as a popera star with the fastest-selling Australian single ever, [7] "The Prayer". [8] Callea said, "It's been really interesting working with people overseas who had no idea who I was or where I come from." [9]
On the change of musical direction, in October 2011 Callea said; "I still love ballads and pop, but this is what I'm enjoying now. If I don't do music I love, I can't expect anyone else to believe it." [10]
Callea promoted the single "Oh Oh, Oh Oh" in October 2011, and the EP Last to Go in March and April 2012. [11] [12]
On 17 October 2011, Callea performed an acoustic version of "Oh Oh, Oh Oh" live on The Circle . [13] On 4 March 2012, Callea performed "Last to Go" live on Sunrise . [14] In April 2012, Callea also performed "Last to Go" live on Young Talent Time .

Callea continued to perform throughout the U.S. and took his energetic performance style to Los Angeles and Las Vegas where he performed to packed houses in West Hollywood and the famous Planet Hollywood on the Vegas strip. [15]
Yahoo 7 said, "From the carefree celebration of 'Last to Go' to the emotional depth of 'Tangled', the EP is a compelling collection of songs. 'Last Night' is the ultimate party anthem, while the strikingly honest 'I Don't Care What You Say' is the sound of defiance and independence." [16]
ARIA said, "Anthony's growth and evolution as a music artist and entertainer will no doubt continue to inspire in this next phase whilst always demonstrating his determination and incredibly faultless vocal talent." [17]
Howard from Rickey said. '...[there is] a strong bond between the artist and the music. The versatility of his voice is remarkable, being able to sing whatever is asked of him." He said Callea is getting "better and better." [18]
Nick Bond of Star Observer said; "'Last to Go', the title track of this newly released EP.., [is] easily the best song the pocket rocket's ever put his name to." He continued saying, "Elsewhere on this seven-song EP, Callea goes into ballad mode on 'Tangled', offers up another slice of camp dance pop with 'Last Night', collaborates with Paul Mac on the ace gay anthem 'I Don't Care What You Say'." Australian Idol is an Australian singing competition, which began its first season in July 2003 and ended its initial run in November 2009. As part of the Idol franchise, Australian Idol originated from the reality program Pop Idol, which was created by British entertainment executive Simon Fuller. Australian Idol was televised on Network Ten for its first seven series and was broadcast on the Southern Cross Austereo Radio Network between 2005 and 2007. The series returned in 2023 after Seven Network announced they would be picking up the show.
Paul Francis McDermott, who performs as Paul Mac, is an Australian electropop musician, singer-songwriter, producer and music re-mixer. He was classically trained at Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Mac has formed various bands including Smash Mac Mac (1986–88), The Lab (1989–1998), Itch-E and Scratch-E (1991–present), Boo Boo Mace & Nutcase (1996–98), and The Dissociatives (2003–2005). Mac has released two solo albums, 3000 Feet High and Panic Room – both appeared in the top 40 on the ARIA Albums Chart.
Anthony Cosmo Callea is an Australian singer-songwriter and stage actor who rose to prominence as the runner-up in the 2004 season of Australian Idol. Callea's debut single, a cover of Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli's song "The Prayer", is the fastest-selling single by an Australian artist; it held the number-one spot on the ARIA Singles Chart for five weeks, a record for the debut single of an Australian Idol contestant, and was the second-highest-selling Australian single of the 2000s.
Casey Donovan is an Australian singer, songwriter, actress, theatre actress and author, best known for winning the second season of the singing competition show Australian Idol in 2004. She won the competition at the age of just 16, becoming the series' youngest winner. In 2017, Donovan won the third series of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here. Donovan also hosted the NITV music show Fusion with Casey Donovan.
"Angels Brought Me Here" is a pop song by Australian singer-songwriter Guy Sebastian. It was released in Australia on 24 November 2003 as the lead single from his debut album, Just as I Am (2003). The song was written by Jörgen Elofsson and John Reid for Network Ten's TV talent competition, Australian Idol's inaugural season. Recorded versions were made for both grand finalists, Sebastian and Shannon Noll, with only Sebastian's version officially released by BMG. On 22 November the promotional video had premiered on the same network's Video Hits – produced by Australian Idol's Stephen Tate and directed by its musical director, John Foreman.

Damien Leo Leith is an Irish-Australian singer–songwriter. He was the winner of the Network Ten music contest Australian Idol in 2006. Since winning the title, Leith has released nine studio albums, four of which peaked in the top two of the ARIA Charts, including two number ones. He has been awarded seven platinum and one gold certification for albums and singles by ARIA, which equates to sales of just over half a million.
Lisa Helen Mitchell is an Australian musician, singer-songwriter who grew up in Albury, New South Wales. Mitchell currently lives in Melbourne and is working on her fourth studio album. Mitchell finished sixth in the 2006 season of Australian Idol. Her debut extended play, Said One to the Other, topped iTunes in Australia and she signed with London-based publisher, Little Victories, a subsidiary of Sony/ATV. By 2008 Mitchell had relocated to the UK where she recorded her debut studio album, Wonder, which peaked at No. 6 on the ARIA Albums Chart. She won the 2009 Australian Music Prize of $30,000 for the album. Mitchell returned to Australia to live in Melbourne. Her second album, Bless This Mess reached No. 7. In March 2015, Mitchell's last single "Wah Ha" was remixed by electronic trio Seekae. Her third album Warriors was released on 16 October 2016 and debuted Top 10 on the ARIA Albums Chart.
Australian Idol was a televised talent contest, screened on Channel Ten for seven seasons between 2003 and 2009. Several contestants were signed to record labels, while others released their music independently. Since 2003 Australian Idol acts have placed well on the Australian music charts, with 35 number ones and 158 platinum and 41 gold certifications. Eight Idol releases appeared in the 2000 – 2009 ARIA End of Decade Charts, and 24 releases have been nominated for Highest Selling ARIA Music Awards. Idol contestants have also been nominated for 33 ARIA Awards in public vote categories, where the nominees are most commonly selected from the highest selling acts of the year. There have also been 48 industry judged ARIA Award nominations. To date there have been 11 wins in sales and public vote categories, and in 2013 season one winner Guy Sebastian and season four runner up Jessica Mauboy became the first Idol contestants to win industry voted ARIA Awards.
A New Chapter is the second album from Australian pop singer Anthony Callea. It features the singles "Live for Love" and "Addicted to You", both of which Callea performed at popular morning show Sunrise. Callea co-wrote fourteen of the fifteen songs over a year. The album runs a length of just over an hour, containing many more upbeat and rocky songs in comparison with his self-titled debut.
Matthew John Corby is an Australian singer-songwriter. He achieved his commercial breakthrough with his fourth EP, Into the Flame (2011), which peaked at No. 3 on the ARIA Singles Chart, and by April 2012, was certified 6× Platinum by ARIA. Twenty Ten is a two-disc retrospective album by Australian singer and songwriter Guy Sebastian. Disc one contains 18 songs from his previous five albums and two new songs, including the lead single "Who's That Girl" which features American rapper Eve. Disc two has acoustic versions of ten of the songs. The album was released in Australia on 19 November 2010 and reached number four on the ARIA Album Chart, Sebastian's sixth consecutive top ten album. It was certified platinum in its fourth week of release and was the fifth highest selling Australian artist album of 2010. It reached 2× platinum certification in 2014. "Who's That Girl" reached number one on the ARIA Singles Chart and achieved 5× platinum certification, and was Sebastian's fifth of six number one singles in Australia. It won the Highest Selling Single ARIA Award in 2011, and received nominations for Single of the Year and Best Pop Release. Sebastian was also nominated as Most Popular Australian Artist. "Who's That Girl" also reached number one and Platinum certification in New Zealand.
Angelique Frances Meunier, known professionally as Havana Brown or DJ Havana Brown, is an Australian DJ, singer, songwriter, record producer, and dancer. In 2008, Brown signed with Island Records Australia as a DJ for the record company and began releasing her Crave compilation album series, which featured remixes of songs from other artists. This led to her touring with international artists, including Britney Spears, Rihanna, the Pussycat Dolls, Chris Brown, and Enrique Iglesias.
Christina Parie, also known by her stage names KYA and Christina Castle, is an Australian singer, best known as a finalist on the third season of The X Factor Australia in 2011. She subsequently signed with Warner Music Australia and released her debut single "16 & Unstoppable" in July 2012. Parie then changed her stage name to KYA, releasing a single titled "What I Live For" with LDN Noise in May 2014.

Rüfüs Du Sol, stylised as RÜFÜS DU SOL and formerly known as simply Rüfüs from 2010 to 2018, are an Australian alternative dance group from Sydney, that consists of Tyrone Lindqvist, Jon George and James Hunt. Their debut album Atlas peaked at number one in Australia, while their second album Bloom debuted atop the Australian albums chart in early 2016. Their single "You Were Right" won the ARIA Award for Best Dance Release in 2015. While still known as Rüfüs elsewhere, they performed as Rüfüs Du Sol in the United States because Rufus was already taken. In 2018 they changed their name to Rüfüs Du Sol internationally.
Ladies & Gentlemen: The Songs of George Michael is the only live album by Australian musical artist, Anthony Callea. The album serves as a tribute to the songs of George Michael; the title refers to Michael's 1998 greatest hits collection, Ladies & Gentlemen: The Best of George Michael. It was recorded and filmed live with a 9 piece band at The Palms at Crown in Melbourne on May 16, 2014.

The album features a selection of tracks that have peaked at number 1 on the ARIA Charts. The album was announced in June 2017 and was released on 1 September 2017.
