The track is described by the band's official Bebo website as:

The track was released on 12 November on the EP titled Not Here to Please You , [3] and then released as a digital single on 18 November 2007. [4] It peaked at number 97 on iTunes. It is also the only single by Hadouken! to be left out of their debut album, Music for an Accelerated Culture , because it does not match the style of other songs on the album, and was written as an experiment.

The song is about Teenage pregnancy and Gang violence. [5]

"Leap of Faith" is the theme song for BBC Two show Sound , on the fourth episode Hadouken! were featured on the show playing the single live. [6]

The full version of the song was only available on MySpace and the "Love, Sweat and Beer EP". All other releases contain the radio edit of the song.

Music video

The music video was released on 8 October 2007, and was made exclusive to BBC Radio 1's DJ Zane Lowe. [7]

The video was filmed at Grey Court School and begins with the band going towards the basketball court, with a montage of images from the area, the band then set their musical instruments up, and play. As the video progresses more and more special effects are used showing luminous fire and purple cables. The video was directed and created by Bobby Harlow and Stitch That, who also created the videos for Liquid Lives and "That Boy That Girl". [8]

The Neighbourhood American alternative rock band

The Neighbourhood is an American rock band formed in Newbury Park, California, in 2011. The band is composed of vocalist Jesse Rutherford, guitarists Jeremy Freedman and Zach Abels, bassist Mikey Margott, and drummer Brandon Alexander Fried. After releasing two EPs, I'm Sorry... and Thank You, The Neighbourhood released its first full-length album I Love You. on April 23, 2013, via Columbia Records. The same year, the EP "The Love Collection" was released; and in November 2014, a mixtape titled #000000 & #FFFFFF. A second album, Wiped Out! was released on October 30, 2015. On March 9, 2018, a self-titled third studio album came out, preceded by the release of two EPs: Hard on September 22, 2017, which briefly charted on the Billboard 200, and To Imagine on January 12, 2018. After the release of the album, the tracks from the extended plays not included on the final tracklisting were collected in another EP, Hard to Imagine. Hadouken! (band)

Hadouken! are a British band formed in London in 2006 by singer, writer and producer James Smith and synth player Alice Spooner along with guitarist Daniel "Pilau" Rice, bassist Christopher Purcell and drummer Nick Rice. The band name is taken from the special attack of the same name from the Street Fighter video game series. It was in Leeds that Hadouken! began their own record label, Surface Noise Records.

Little Boots Musical artist

Victoria Christina Hesketh, better known by her stage name Little Boots, is an English electropop singer-songwriter and DJ. She was previously a member of the band Dead Disco. Since performing as a solo artist she has released three albums, Hands (2009), Nocturnes (2013) and Working Girl (2015) and a number of associated EPs and remixes. Hesketh has toured internationally both as a DJ-only act as well as with a full band. Hands reached number five on the UK Albums Chart and the singles "New in Town" and "Remedy" became top twenty hits.

"The Planets Bend Between Us" is a song from alternative rock band Snow Patrol's fifth album A Hundred Million Suns. It was released as the follow-up single to "If There's a Rocket Tie Me to It" on 24 May 2009. It was the fourth single taken from the album. The lyrics were written by Gary Lightbody and the music was composed by Snow Patrol. The song is about Lightbody's beach house in Belfast. The M.A.D. EP is a 2009 EP by new rave band Hadouken!. It was released on 14 September 2009. It was released in the UK as a digital download EP, however, a CD single is available in Japan. M.A.D. stands for Mutually Assured Destruction. The title track later appeared on the band's second studio album, For the Masses.

"Animal" is a song performed by Swedish indie pop band Miike Snow. It was released as the first single from the band's 2009 self-titled debut album on 17 February 2009 through Columbia and Downtown Records. Written by the band alongside Henrik Jonback, "Animal" is a pop song with instrumentation provided by horns and staccato synthesizers.
