Leave Your Love is the debut EP release by American singer-songwriter and former Issues clean vocalist Tyler Carter, which was released on January 13, 2015 through Rise Records. The lead single, "Georgia" was released on December 16, 2014 through Rise Records along with a music video. "Tears on the Runway Pt. 1", featuring recording artist Nylo, was released as a promotional single on December 19. The title track, "Leave Your Love" was released as a single along with a music video on December 22, 2014. On February 26, 2015, Tyler uploaded the music video for the third and final single off the EP, "Find Me".

"Give Your Heart a Break" is a song recorded by American singer Demi Lovato for her third studio album Unbroken (2011). It was released on January 23, 2012, by Hollywood Records, as the second and final single from the album. The song was written and produced by Josh Alexander and Billy Steinberg. "Give Your Heart a Break" incorporates drums, violin and strings. The latter two, according to music critics, are reminiscent of those used in Coldplay's "Viva la Vida". Lyrically, the song chronicles the protagonist's attempt to win over her lover who has been hurt in a previous relationship and is fearful of committing again. In 2023, the song was re-recorded for her rock-compilation Revamped featuring Bert McCracken from the rock band The Used.

He was the lead vocalist and founding member of metalcore band Issues from 2012 until his dismissal from the band in 2020 due to allegations of sexual misconduct. Carter began his musical career performing drums in local bands in Atlanta. Following his underground success, he joined metalcore outfit Woe, Is Me, releasing their debut studio album, Number[s], in 2010, in which he left the following year.
Half Alive is an American rock band from Long Beach, California. The band was formed in 2016 and consists of lead singer Josh Taylor, drummer Brett Kramer and bassist J. Tyler Johnson. The trio are best known for their single "Still Feel" and its choreographed music video. Moonshine is the debut studio album by American singer-songwriter and former Issues lead vocalist Tyler Carter, released on February 1, 2019, on Velocity and Rise Records. The album is a follow-up to Carter's debut extended play (EP), Leave Your Love. It was produced by long time collaborator Lophiile, Medasin, Brandon Paddock, Femdouble, Maui Black, and SmarterChild. The album was recorded in 2018 and was written over the course of three years, between 2016 and 2018. The singer continues his unique sound of soul, R&B, and electronic music with elements of country and pop. A companion extended play, Moonshine Acoustic, was released in June 2020.
