Leistus acutangulus is a species of ground beetle found in Portugal and Spain. It is in the subgenus Leistus. [1] [2]

Description

Leistus acutangulus has a very distinct pronotum, which contains the diagnostic character. The diagnostic character is an angulately enlarged pronotal margin as seen in the image inside the taxobox. [3]

It was designated as a Class 1 Protection Forest by the Sabah Forestry Department in 1992. Its area is 2,145 hectares (21.45 km2). Botitian's terrain is mountainous in the reserve's centre, to low hills and flat land in the western and eastern sections. The forest is mainly secondary with pioneer species.
