Ilse Annoeska de Lange, better known as Ilse DeLange, is a Dutch country and pop rock singer-songwriter. In 1998 she gained fame with her single 'I'm Not So Tough', that later became multiple platinum in The Netherlands. Other hits were her songs ' Miracle', 'So Incredible' and 'The Great Escape'.
Raffaëla Paton is a Dutch singer of Surinamese descent and the winner of the 2006 Dutch talent show Idols. Paton participated in the Netherlands national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan with her entry Chocolatte but did not win.

Marco Borsato and Trijntje Oosterhuis were the only coaches from season 3 to return for season 4. Nick & Simon and Roel van Velzen were replaced by Ilse DeLange and Ali B after their departures. The winner was Julia van der Toorn, mentored by Borsato. This was the first season where a coach did not win in their first season and the first to have two members of the same team in the final.

The song was performed by Trijntje Oosterhuis, who was internally selected by the Dutch broadcaster AVROTROS to represent the Netherlands at the 2015 contest in Vienna, Austria. Songwriter Anouk Teeuwe represented the Netherlands in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 with the song "Birds" where she placed ninth in the grand final of the competition. Trijntje Oosterhuis' appointment as the Dutch representative was announced on 10 November 2014, while the song, "Walk Along", was presented to the public on 11 December 2014.
The sixth season of the Dutch reality singing competition The Voice of Holland premiered on 25 September 2015 on RTL4. Martijn Krabbé, Wendy van Dijk, and Jamai Loman all returned, as did Marco Borsato and Ali B as coaches. However, the sixth season saw Trijntje Oosterhuis and Ilse DeLange replaced by Dutch singer-songwriters Anouk and Sanne Hans from the band Miss Montreal. This is the last season that Marco Borsato appeared as a coach on the show, as he announced on 13 November 2015 that he will not be returning for the next season. In his place, singer Waylon will serve as coach for Season 7. The season was won by Maan de Steenwinkel of Team Borsato, and this is Borsato's fourth time as winning coach.
