Leshnikovo is a village in the municipality of Harmanli, in Haskovo Province, in southeastern Bulgaria. [1] The village is surrounded by mountains and fields in the other direction. Leshnikovo is about 30 kilometers from the Greek border, as well as from the Turkish border.
The village has less than a hundred houses, many of which are uninhabited. There are two bars in the village and a renovated village house to take care of the villagers. The building also has room for events, a library and a hall with benches for watching movies.
Haskovo Province is a province in southern Bulgaria, neighbouring Greece and Turkey to the southeast, comprising parts of the Thracian valley along the river Maritsa. Lying at the mouth of the Rezovo River in the Black Sea, Rezovo is the southernmost point of the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast and the southeasternmost inhabited place in Bulgaria and the European Union mainland. The village is located 11 kilometres south of Sinemorets, 17 km from Ahtopol and 36 km from Lozenets. As the Rezovo River constitutes the border between Bulgaria and the European part of Turkey, Rezovo directly overlooks the Turkish bank of the river and the Turkish village of Beğendik, in Demirköy district, Kırklareli Province.
Shams Pir is an island village near Karachi, Pakistan, along the western end of Karachi Harbour, close to Sandspit Beach and Kakapir. It is administered as part of the Karachi West district. Approximately 5,000 people now live on the island. The village is bordered by thick Mangrove forests which grow in the harbor.
