The WACA Ground is a sports stadium in Perth,Western Australia. The stadium's name derives from the initials of its owners and operators,the Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA).

The Big Bash League is an Australian men's professional club Twenty20 cricket league,which was established in 2011 by Cricket Australia. The Big Bash League replaced the previous competition,the KFC Twenty20 Big Bash,and features eight city-based franchises instead of the six state teams which had participated previously. The Sydney Sixers is an Australian professional franchise men's cricket team,competing in Australia's domestic Twenty20 cricket competition,the Big Bash League (BBL). Along with the Sydney Thunder,the Sixers are the successors of the New South Wales Blues who played in the now-defunct KFC Twenty20 Big Bash. The Sixers play at Sydney Cricket Ground at Moore Park in Sydney's eastern suburbs,whilst the Thunder play at the Sydney Showground Stadium in the city's western suburbs. The inaugural coach was Trevor Bayliss,who was replaced in 2015 by current coach Greg Shipperd. The Sixers' inaugural captain was Australian wicket-keeper Brad Haddin. The Perth Scorchers is the Australian domestic Twenty20 franchise cricket team representing the Western Australian city of Perth in the Big Bash League (BBL).
The Brisbane Heat are an Australian professional franchise men's cricket team,competing in Australia's domestic Twenty20 cricket competition,the Big Bash League (BBL). The Heat are the successors of the Queensland Bulls who played in the now-defunct KFC Twenty20 Big Bash. The Heat wear a teal uniform and are based in Brisbane in the Australian state Queensland. Their home ground is the Brisbane Cricket Ground,also known as The Gabba. The inaugural coach was Darren Lehmann who is now an assistant to current head coach Wade Seccombe. Nathan Mitchell Coulter-Nile is an Australian cricketer who has played at One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International level for the Australian national side. Domestically,he is contracted to Western Australia and the Melbourne Stars. From Perth,Western Australia,Coulter-Nile attended Aquinas College,and represented the state under-17 and under-19 teams,later going on to play three youth ODI matches for the Australian national under-19 team. Having held a rookie contract from the Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA) for several seasons,he made his debut at state level during the 2009–10 season,and has since become a regular selection in Western Australia and the Perth Scorchers' fast bowling attacks. Coulter-Nile made his Twenty20 International debut for the Australian national cricket team in February 2013,and his ODI debut in September 2013.

Thomas Ian Francis Triffitt is an Australian cricketer who has played for Tasmania,Western Australia,Hobart Hurricanes and the Perth Scorchers. Triffitt attended the Australian Cricket Academy,and went on to play for the Australian under-19 cricket team,serving as the team's wicket-keeper at the 2010 Under-19 World Cup. He made his debut at state level during the 2010–11 season,and played regularly over the following seasons as a replacement for Tim Paine.
Ashton Charles Agar is an Australian cricketer who plays all forms of the game at international level. Agar plays domestically for Western Australia and the Perth Scorchers. A left-handed spin bowler,he played two Test matches for the Australian national side during the 2013 Ashes series and 5 Test matches in his career. Agar was also a member of the Australian team that won the 2021 T20 World Cup in Dubai and Oman.
Alexander Ian Ross is an Australian cricketer. The son of a cricket coach,Ross started playing domestic cricket for South Australia in 2012,having moved to the state in 2009 with his father. He began to rise to prominence in the 2014–15 season when,after improved form in both first-class and List A cricket,he began playing for the Adelaide Strikers in the Big Bash League. In his first match of BBL|05 he scored 65 runs off 31 balls,making excellent use of the sweep shot and earning the moniker "sweepologist". He currently represents South Australia in first-class and one-day cricket and plays for the Sydney Thunder in the Big Bash League.

The Perth Scorchers (WBBL) are an Australian women's Twenty20 cricket team based in East Perth,Western Australia. They compete in the Women's Big Bash League,and won their first championship in WBBL|07.
Jake Weatherald is an Australian cricketer. Originally from Darwin in the Northern Territory,he is an opening batsman who plays for South Australia in both first-class and one-day cricket and plays for the Adelaide Strikers in the Big Bash League. He had a breakout season in 2015–16,making his first-class debut for South Australia in the Sheffield Shield and scoring two half-centuries in the final. He has since had contracts with both South Australia and the Strikers in every season.
Wesley Austin Agar is an Australian cricketer. He is a fast bowler who has played for Australia's national youth team,and has played first-class and List A cricket for South Australia and Twenty20s for the Adelaide Strikers. He is the younger brother of fellow Australian international cricketer,Ashton Agar. He made his international debut for Australia in July 2021.
Peter Hatzoglou is an Australian cricketer. Hatzoglou was born in Perth,Western Australia,to a father whose family came from Kozani in Greece,and a mother from North Macedonia. He is known for his idiosyncratic bowling action,ability to bowl topspinners,sliders and googlies as well as the ability to bowl from a high release point at high pace.
