Liao Xiaoli

Liao Xiaoli is a Chinese rower.

She was competing in the lightweight women's double sculls and came fifth at the 1989 World Rowing Championships, and fourth at the 1990 World Rowing Championships. She then changed to the lightweight women's four and won gold at the 1991 World Rowing Championships, and bronze at the 1994 World Rowing Championships. [1]

She is a member of the New Zealand Labour Party.

Christina Giazitzidou is a Greek rower. She won the bronze medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, in the Women's lightweight double sculls.

2015 World Rowing Championships

The 2015 World Rowing Championships were World Rowing Championships that were held from 30 August to 6 September 2015 at Lac d'Aiguebelette, Aiguebelette in France. The annual week-long rowing regatta was organized by FISA. In non-Olympic years the regatta is the highlight of the international rowing calendar, and as 2015 was a pre-Olympic year, the championships were also the main qualification event for the following year's Olympics and Paralympics.

Zoe McBride is a New Zealand rower. She is a double world champion in the women's lightweight single scull. She is only the second New Zealand rower to win a double national championship in both the lightweight and premier single sculls.

Julia Edward is a New Zealand rower, a two time world champion in the women's lightweight double sculls.

The 1974 World Rowing Championships was the 4th World Rowing Championships. It was held from 4-8 September 1974 and 29 August - 1 September 1974 at Rotsee in Lucerne, Switzerland. The event was significantly extended from the 1970 edition, with the addition of both women's and lightweight men's events. Six women boat classes were added, three lightweight men classes, plus quad scull for men, increasing the number of boat classes from seven in 1970 to seventeen in 1974. This was also the last World Championships held on a quadrennial cycle – from this point, World Championships were held annually.

1975 World Rowing Championships

The 1975 World Rowing Championships was the fifth World Rowing Championships. It was held from 21 to 30 August at Holme Pierrepont National Watersports Centre in Nottingham, Great Britain.

Angela Herron is a retired American lightweight rower. She won a gold medal at the 1984 World Rowing Championships in Montreal, Canada, with the lightweight women's eight; this was the only year that this boat class competed at World Rowing Championships. At the 1986 World Rowing Championships in Nottingham, she won a bronze medal in the lightweight women's single scull. At the 1987 World Rowing Championships in Copenhagen, she became world champion in the lightweight women's four. At the 1991 World Rowing Championships in Vienna, she came fourth in the lightweight women's single scull.
