The Liga Futsal Kebangsaan (Wanita) is the top flight women's futsal league in Malaysia. The league is the women's categories of Liga Futsal Kebangsaan and managed by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM). The competition has been founded in 2007. For 2017 season, six clubs will compete for the championship in the women's categories.

Liga Futsal Kebangsaan

The Liga Futsal Kebangsaan (LFK) is the national top-tier futsal league in Malaysia. It is the only professional futsal league in Malaysia. The competition is separated into Men and Women categories. For 2018 season, a total of ten clubs compete in men division while eight clubs compete in women division.

History

The Liga Futsal Kebangsaan (Wanita) has been founded when the women categories was introduced for the Liga Futsal Kebangsaan in 2007. [1] For 2007 season, FELDA has become the official sponsor for the competition and the competition name has incorporated the sponsor name and called as Liga Futsal Kebangsaan FAM/FELDA and the partnership continue until the end of 2015 season. The Federal Land Development Authority is a Malaysian government agency that was founded to handle the resettlement of rural poor into newly developed areas and to organise smallholder farms growing cash crops. Since the 1990s, it has not established new settlements, but has engaged in a diversified range of economic development and business activities.

Selangor, captained by the instrumental Shahila Yunus won back-to-back titles in the 2009-10 season and 2010-11 season.

Selangor FA Association football club based in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia

Football Association of Selangor, commonly known as FA Selangor, is a Malaysian professional football club based in the city of Shah Alam and competes in the Malaysian Super League, the top flight of Malaysian football. Nicknamed The Red Giants, the club was founded in 1936 and play their home games in the 80,372-capacity Shah Alam Stadium.

The league has been resumed for a new season in February 2017 and competed among six clubs. [5] [6]

Liga Futsal Kebangsaan 2017 will be the tenth season of the National Futsal League, the Malaysian professional futsal league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 2004. FELDA United FC are the defending champions, having won their second title in the 2014-15 season. The league was on hold for 2016 season after a financial problem and postponed to January 2017 for the new season. All matches to be played at Kompleks Sukan UPSI, Tanjung Malim, Perak and Stadium Tertutup SUKPA, Kuantan, Pahang.

The Malaysia national futsal team represents Malaysia in international futsal competitions and is controlled by the Football Association of Malaysia. Malaysia once played in the FIFA Futsal World Cup in 1996.

The Malaysia women's national futsal team represents Malaysia in international women's futsal competitions and is controlled by the Football Association of Malaysia. The team was once banned from all competitions by the Football Association of Malaysia after the dismal performance of the women's football team at the 2009 Southeast Asian Games. But since 2012, the Football Association of Malaysia has lifted the ban.

Liga Bolasepak Rakyat

Liga Bolasepak Rakyat is the fourth-tier football league in Malaysia. The league is managed by Liga Bolasepak Rakyat-Limited Liability Partnership (LBR-LLP) and it is an amateur-level competition. It was established in 2015 to provide an alternative entry point for young players. For 2016–17 season, there are a total of 108 clubs participated in the league to represent their district out of more than 150 possible districts in the country to play in the league. The clubs were divided into 8 zones according to their regional location.

Piala Tun Sharifah Rodziah is a women's football tournament in Malaysia. It was established in 1976 as a women's football competition competed by the teams around Malaysia. The competition is managed by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM).
