Perlis Football Association (Malay: Persatuan Bola Sepak Perlis) is an association football club that represents the state of Perlis.

Malay language Austronesian language

Malay is a major language of the Austronesian family spoken in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. A language of the Malays, it is spoken by 290 million people across the Strait of Malacca, including the coasts of the Malay Peninsula of Malaysia and the eastern coast of Sumatra in Indonesia and has been established as a native language of part of western coastal Sarawak and West Kalimantan in Borneo. It is also used as a trading language in the southern Philippines, including the southern parts of the Zamboanga Peninsula, the Sulu Archipelago and the southern predominantly Muslim-inhabited municipalities of Bataraza and Balabac in Palawan.

Perlis State of Malaysia

Perlis, also known by its honorific title Perlis Indera Kayangan, is the smallest state in Malaysia. It lies at the northern part of the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia and has the Satun and Songkhla Provinces of Thailand on its northern border. It is bordered by the state of Kedah to the south. It was called Palit by the Siamese when it was under their influence. Perlis had a population of 227,025 as of 2010.

Kangar is the state capital of Perlis, Malaysia. It has a population of 48,898 and an area of 2,619.4 ha. It is located in the northernmost point of Peninsular Malaysia and is situated by the Perlis River. The centre of Kangar is Sena Province. The town is the smallest state capital in Malaysia and its inhabitants are mostly farmers and civil servants.

The 2017 Liga Premier also known as the 100PLUS Liga Premier for sponsorship reasons was the 14th season of the Liga Premier, the second-tier professional football league in Malaysia. Kuala Lumpur were crowned the champions and were promoted to Liga Super since relegated in 2012 season.

History

Perlis Football Association (Malay: Persatuan Bola Sepak Perlis) is an association football club that represents the state of Perlis. [2] [3] The club officially founded in 1963 and have a long-standing rivalry with Kedah FA, the two northern teams collectively known as the Northern Derby. Their home is the 20,000-seat Tuanku Syed Putra stadium and it was built in 1995 after replacing Dato Sheikh Ahmad Stadium. Perlis 's regular kit colours are yellow shirt and blue shorts, representing the state colours.

In association football, kit is the standard equipment and attire worn by players. The sport's Laws of the Game specify the minimum kit which a player must use, and also prohibit the use of anything that is dangerous to either the player or another participant. Individual competitions may stipulate further restrictions, such as regulating the size of logos displayed on shirts and stating that, in the event of a match between teams with identical or similar colours, the away team must change to different coloured attire.

Perlis had their first major success in the 2004 season, when they won the Malaysia Cup 2004. Domestically, Perlis have won the Malaysia football tournament, lastly in the 2008 Malaysia Charity Shield, 2 Malaysia Cups, 1 Malaysia Super League, 3 Runner up Piala FAs, 2 Malaysia Charity Shield and 1 Malaysian League Division II title in 1989. 2006 was their debut playing in the AFC Cup and the AFC Cup 2010 withdrew.

Malaysia Cup

The Malaysia Cup is an annual association football tournament in Malaysia. The cup was first held in 1921. Even though it is the nation's oldest cup tournament, it is currently a secondary cup to the Malaysia FA Cup as the Malaysia FA Cup is the cup which is given the nation's slot for continental cup tournament. The competition was previously managed by Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) before it was transferred to Football Malaysia LLP in the 2016 season.

Malaysia Super League association football league

The Malaysia Super League, is the men's top professional football division of the Malaysia football league system. Administered by the Football Malaysia Limited Liability Partnership (FMLLP), now known as the Malaysia Football League (MFL), Malaysia Super League is contested by 12 teams, with the two lowest-placed teams relegated to the Malaysia Premier League division and replaced by the top two teams in that division.

The 2006 AFC Cup was the 3rd edition of the AFC Cup. Al-Faisaly from Jordan became the first side to win the competition two years in a row.

At the stadium, people can easily recognized them based on their main outfit which is black with yellow and blue. They always stand at a same place at stadium which usually known as . They are still lack of numbers, so they strongly encourage any Perlis supporters to join them.
