The 2010 Malaysia Cup was the 84th edition of the Malaysia Cup. The competition began on 14 September 2010 and concluded on 30 October 2010 with the final, held at National Stadium, Bukit Jalil. A total of 16 teams took part in the competition. The teams were divided into 4 groups of 4 teams. The group leaders and runners-up teams in the groups after 6 matches qualified to the quarterfinals.

The 2018 AFC U-16 Championship was the 18th edition of the AFC U-16 Championship, the biennial international youth football championship organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for the men's under-16 national teams of Asia. It took place in Malaysia, which was appointed as hosts by the AFC on 25 July 2017, between 20 September and 7 October 2018. A total of 16 teams played in the tournament.
The men's football tournament at the 2017 SEA Games was held from 14 to 29 August in Malaysia in August 2017. In this tournament, all 11 Southeast Asian teams played in the men's competition. In addition to the host city of Kuala Lumpur, matches were also played in Shah Alam and Selayang. Associations affiliated with FIFA might send teams to participate in the tournament. The 2022 Malaysia M3 League was the 2nd season of Malaysia M3 League, the third-tier football league in Malaysia, since its establishment in 2019. This is the first time the league had a fully completed season since 2019, after the 2020 and 2021 editions were cancelled due to restrictions.
