"Ligaya" (English: "Joy") is the first single by the Eraserheads from their debut album, Ultraelectromagneticpop! . The single was able to make it to the Top Ten of 97.1 WLS-FM countdown. [1] The band last performed the song in their "Ang Huling El Bimbo" reunion concert in December 2022.

With a line-up comprising Ely Buendia, Buddy Zabala, Marcus Adoro, and Raimund Marasigan, Eraserheads is the most influential and successful Filipino band in Philippine music history. Regarded as "The Beatles of the Philippines", the band have sold 9 million albums throughout their career and is credited for spearheading a second wave of Manila band invasions, paving the way for a host of Filipino alternative rock bands.
Ely Eleandre Basiño Buendia, is a Filipino musician, singer, songwriter and author who gained fame as the guitarist, lead vocalist and principal songwriter of the famed Filipino rock band, the Eraserheads and also the lead vocalist/rhythm guitarist of Pupil. Regarded as a musical icon in the country, his songs continue to amass commercial success and critical acclaim, topping various music charts and leaving behind an enduring legacy in Philippine popular culture. He currently performs as the guitarist and singer-songwriter of the band Apartel.
Raimund Emmanuel Parcon Marasigan is a Filipino rock musician and record producer. His first name is often misspelled Raymond or Raimond though he personally prefers to spell his name as Raymund. The breadth of his projects has made him one of the most well-respected mainstays of the Philippine rock band scene. He was the drummer, vocalist and lyricist alongside bandmate Ely Buendia of The Eraserheads, and the current keyboard/synths player for Pedicab, former rhythm guitarist and now frontman of Sandwich, former drummer of Cambio, vocalist of Project 1 and the man behind Squid 9. Currently, he holds bass for his newest band, Gaijin. Aside from writing songs and being a musician, he is also a record producer, voice actor, TV host and product endorser.

The album was released under Musiko Records & Sony BMG Music Philippines, Inc.) on November 29, 2005 and consists of 17 Eraserheads songs that were interpreted by Philippine bands and solo musical artists such as 6cyclemind, Imago, Barbie Almalbis, Spongecola, Francis M., Rico J. Puno, Kitchie Nadal and MYMP.The album contains the songs "Alapaap", "Magasin", "With a Smile", "Ligaya", "Pare Ko", "Superproxy", "Ang Huling El Bimbo" and "Maling Akala".

Ang Huling El Bimbo: a musical featuring the songs of the most iconic 90's band, popularly known as Ang Huling El Bimbo, is a jukebox musical written by Dingdong Novenario, featuring the hit songs of the Filipino band Eraserheads. It features the lyrics and melodies of at least 40 of the band's songs, including the titular song. Dexter Santos directed and choreographed the musical, with Myke Salomon serving as its musical director. The Manila Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Rodel Colmenar, provided the music, accompanied by a live band. The set design is by Gino Gonzales, with lighting by Monino Duque.
