Aloha Milkyway (stylized in lowercase as aloha milkyway) is a compilation album from Filipino alternative rock band Eraserheads in 1998. [3] It was released under BMG Records (Pilipinas), Inc. and contains 14 tracks, five of which were new songs recorded for this album, and the rest were remastered versions of songs from their previously released album Sticker Happy. The name of this album is a reference to a song from the previous album which repeatedly says it.

An Asian Edition was also released for this album. [4] In Singapore and all over Asia, the initial pressing for the album at 400 copies was soon sold out at the day of launching. [5] In Indonesia, South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, & Southeast Asia "Julie Tearjerky" was released as a single, where it reached number 1 in the charts. [5]

Commercial performance

Aloha Milkyway shipped 20,000 copies on its first day in the Philippines, which is already eligible for Gold certification by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry. According to BMG in 1998, the album has sold 1,000 copies in Indonesia and 1,000 copies in Singapore. [6]

Cutterpillow is the third studio album by Filipino alternative rock group Eraserheads. It was released in the Philippines on December 8, 1995, by BMG Records (Pilipinas), Inc. The album became a highlight in Pinoy music as it introduced classic songs such as "Huwag Mo Nang Itanong", "Overdrive", and the popular "Ang Huling El Bimbo". It was both critically and commercially successful, certifying 11× Platinum by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry (PARI). To date, the album has sold over 400,000 units in the country, becoming the third biggest-selling album in OPM history and the biggest for any Filipino band or group.

"Ang Huling El Bimbo" is a song composed by Ely Buendia of the Philippine pop/rock band Eraserheads, for their 1995 studio album Cutterpillow. It received extensive airplay after its release and ranked #2 on RX 93.1's "Top 20 OPM Requests of 1996". It is the only Tagalog song included in the band's international compilation album, Aloha Milkyway (1998).
