Eraserheads was a Filipino alternative rock band formed in 1989. With a line-up comprising Ely Buendia, Buddy Zabala, Marcus Adoro, and Raimund Marasigan, Eraserheads is the most influential and successful Filipino band in Philippine music history. Regarded as "The Beatles of the Philippines", the band have sold 9 million albums throughout their career and is credited for spearheading a second wave of Manila band invasions, paving the way for a host of Filipino alternative rock bands.

Natin99 is the Eraserheads' sixth studio album. It was released by BMG Records (Pilipinas), Inc. in 1999 and the first Eraserheads album that came out of a non-linear recording approach, in which most of the musical parts were recorded separately in their respective home studios and pieced together by the band and producer Robin Rivera. Its title is a play on words for the year 1999.

It can be categorized as a musical itself and to date, there has only been one theater musical adaptation of it - the Eraserheads' Fruitcake Musical 2010. Unlike the band's other albums which feature either English or Tagalog lyrics, Fruitcake is 100% English.

The name of this album is a reference to a song from the previous album which repeatedly says it.
