The Lions Gold Awards are annual accolades given by the Lions Club Mumbai to recognise excellence in Indian Film and Television Industry.

Lions Clubs International international service organization based in the United States

Lions Clubs International (LCI) is an international non-political service organization established originally in 1917 in Chicago, Illinois, by Melvin Jones. It is now headquartered in Oak Brook, Illinois. As of April 2015, it had over 46,000 local clubs and more than 1.7 million members in 190 countries around the world.

Bollywood Hindi language film industry

Hindi cinema, often metonymously referred to as Bollywood, and formerly known as Bombay cinema, is the Indian Hindi-language film industry, based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. The term originates as a portmanteau of "Bombay" and "Hollywood". The industry is related to Tamil film industry (Kollywood), Telugu film industry (Tollywood) and others industries, which combined are components of Indian Cinema, the largest film industry in the world.

The television industry in India is a wide-ranging one; which produces thousands of programs in many of India's official languages. More than half of all Indian households own a television. As of 2016, the country had over 857 channels of which 184 were pay channels.





<i>Pavitra Rishta</i> television series

Pavitra Rishta is a 2009 Indian soap opera produced by Ekta Kapoor of Balaji Telefilms, that aired on Zee TV. Its initial concept is an adaptation from south Indian Tamil serial Thirumathi Selvam. In India, the series is re-aired on Zee TV from September 03, 2018 due to popular demand.

The show was very popular and won lots of awards. It was the remake of the star jalsha popular show Ogo Bodhu Sundori. The show got replaced by Ek Doosre Se Karte Hain Pyaar Hum. It also airs on Star Utsav.

Kya Huaa Tera Vaada is an Indian soap opera that premiered on 30 January 2012 and went off air on 23 May 2013, on Sony Entertainment Television India. It also airs on Sony Entertainment Television Asia. The show stars Mona Singh and Pawan Shankar as the protagonists and Mouli Ganguly as the antagonist. Kya Huaa Tera Vaada is produced by Balaji Telefilms of Ekta Kapoor.

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is a Hindi-Language television drama airing on weekdays on Star Plus. It premiered on 12 January 2009 and is one of the longest running Indian television series. The show is produced by Rajan Shahi under the banner Director's Kut Productions. It starred Hina Khan and Karan Mehra, and 2016 onward, features Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan in lead roles. In March 2019, the series led to the creation of a spin-off titled "Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke", starring Rhea Sharma and Shaheer Sheikh.

Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala is an Indian musical television series, which premiered on 19 March 2018 and airs on StarPlus and Hotstar. The show is produced by Gul Khan, Karishma Jain, Nilanjana Purkayastha and Herumb Khot, directed by Pradeep Yadav, Yashraj Shukla, written by Sahana Bajpaie and Faizal Aziz and features an ensemble cast including Aakriti Sharma, Mohit Malik, Anjali Anand, Myra Singh, Vishal Aditya Singh and Shruti Sharma. The soundtrack is composed by Sargam Jassu and Nakash Aziz, with lyrics written by Shashank Kunwar, Shaheen Iqbal and Satya Sharma. It is a remake of the Bengali television series Potol Kumar Gaanwala, which aired on Star Jalsha in 2015. The story revolves around the journey of a young singing prodigy Kullfi, who encounters all kinds of hardships to unite with her father, Sikandar Singh Gill. The show completed first 100 episodes on 3 August 2018. The show completed 1 year of air on 19 March 2019. It has also been dubbed in Sinhala under the title Mini Pahana Obai and airs on TV Derana by Sri Lanka.

Kavi Kumar Azad was an Indian actor best known for his portrayal of Dr. Hansraj Hathi in the popular Indian sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. He died on 9 July 2018 after a heart attack.
