Kushal Tandon (born 28 March 1985) is an Indian model and actor known for his portrayal of Virat Singh Vadhera in Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai and Arjun Sharma in Beyhadh . He also participated in Nach Baliye , Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi . [1] In 2023, he started portraying Reyansh "Rey" Lamba in Barsatein – Mausam Pyaar Ka .

Personal life

Tandon was born on 28 March 1985 and is from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. [2] [3] He studied in Hansraj College, Delhi and in New York Film Academy. [4] [5] [6] Tandon and Gauahar Khan were in a relationship during Bigg Boss 7 but broke up in 2014 after almost a year. [7] Tandon was also in a relationship with Ridhima Pandit but they broke up after 9 months. [8] [9]

Career

Tandon was the first runner-up of Grasim Mr. India contest held in January 2005. [10] Upon return from the United States after his acting course, he played Virat Singh Vadhera in Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai. [11] During the show, he shaved off his hair to show his support for a bald young cancer patient. [12] [13]

Later, Tandon participated in Nach Baliye 5 with his then partner Elena Boeva. [14] In 2013, he participated in reality television show Bigg Boss 7 . [15] In 2015, Tandon was seen in Rahat Fateh Ali Khan's music video Zaroori Tha along with girlfriend Gauahar Khan. [16]

In 2016, Tandon portrayed Arjun Sharma opposite Jennifer Winget and Aneri Vajani in Sony TV's Beyhadh. [17] In 2018, he portrayed Rahul in Alt Balaji's Hum - I'm Because of Us . [18] On 26 June 2020, he starred in tech horror film, Unlock in Zee5. [19] In August 2020, he acted in ALTBalaji's Bebaakee . [20]

Tandon also owns a restaurant called "Arbour 28" in Mumbai. He opened the restaurant in February 2020. [21]

In 2023, he began portraying Reyansh Lamba opposite Shivangi Joshi in Ekta Kapoor's Barsatein – Mausam Pyaar Ka . [22]

Bebaakee (Madness) is a Hindi-language drama web series directed by Muzammil Desai and produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor under their banner Balaji Telefilms. It stars Kushal Tandon, Karan Jotwani along with debutant Shiv Jyoti Rajput in lead roles. The first eight episodes were streamed on ZEE5 and ALTBalaji on 30 August 2020 while the ninth and tenth were streamed on 2 September 2020. The next five episodes were released on 12 October 2020 while the remaining sixteen episodes of the first season were released on 11 December 2020. The series will receive a second season but the release date hasn't been officially announced.

<i>Bigg Boss OTT</i> (Hindi TV series) season 1 Indian reality show

Bigg Boss OTT 1, also known as Bigg Boss: Over-The-Top Season 1, is the spin-off version of the Indian reality digital series Bigg Boss, the first to be released exclusively on OTT platforms Voot and Voot Select. It premiered on 8 August 2021 on Viacom18's streaming service Voot and premium streaming service Voot Select with Karan Johar as the host of this digital-only season. The Grand Finale of the show took place on 18 September 2021 and Divya Agarwal emerged as the winner, while Nishant Bhat emerged as the runner-up.
