Lisa Tertsch (born 1 December 1998) is a German triathlete and cross country runner.

Lisa Tertsch was born in Offenbach am Main. She is a member of ASC Darmstadt. She studied economics at Harvard University, [2] from 2016 until summer 2021. In an interview with the FAZ she said, that until then, studying had been her top priority; sport was second. 2021 was also the Olympic qualification for Olympics in Tokyo, which she missed by a hair and she realized that if she pursued sports half-heartedly, it would be difficult to compete against competitors who invested more into sports. In 2015, she won junior European Cup races in Quarteira in Portugal, and Bled, Slovenia, and silver in the mixed relay at the 2015 European Triathlon Championships. In April 2016, she won the European junior duathlon title in Kalkar. She was runner-up to Taylor Knibb at the 2016 Junior World Championships in Cozumel, Mexico. In July of that year she won the German junior national title in Nürnberg. She also won silver in the junior event at the 2016 European Triathlon Championships behind Cassandre Beaugrand. [1]
She won gold with the U23 women at the 2018 European Cross Country Championships in Tilburg. [4]
In August 2019, she won bronze in the women's U23 race at the Triathlon World Championships in Lausanne, Switzerland. [5] That year, she took first place at the U23 European Championships and was number one in the European Cup rankings at the end of the season. In February 2020, she was named ETU Athlete of the Year. [6]
She became German champion over the triathlon sprint distance in Berlin in 2021 and again in Dusseldorf in 2023. [7]
She won World Triathlon Championship Series bronze in Hamburg in the summer of 2022. [1] She finished second at the World Triathlon Championship Series Hamburg in July 2024. [8]
In July 2024, she was a gold medalist at the World Triathlon Mixed Relay Championships. [9]
She competed at the 2024 Paris Olympics. In the individual race held on 31 July 2024, an early crash in the bike section put paid to hopes for medal but she came back to secure a top ten finish. [10] [11] Later at the Games she won a gold medal as part of the German mixed relay team. The following month, in her first race since the Olympics she won the Valencia World Cup. [12]

Triathlon had its Summer Olympics debut at the 2000 Games, in Sydney, when men's and women's individual events were first held, and has been contested since then. In 2021, at the delayed 2020 Summer Olympics a mixed team relay event was held for the first time. He is also a four-time World Champion in triathlon being Triathlon World Champion twice and World Team Champion twice, a four-time European Champion, and the 2014 Commonwealth champion. Brownlee is the only male athlete,, to have completed a grand slam of Olympic, World, and continental championships. Brownlee is also a one-time world champion in aquathlon. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest male Triathletes ever.
Jonathan Callum Brownlee is an English professional duathlete and triathlete. He is a six-time World champion, and one-time Olympic champion in triathlon.
Charlotte Morel, is a French professional triathlete, twelve times National Champion in various duathlon and triathlon categories, e.g. National U23 Triathlon Champion of the years 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012. Since 2006, Morel is a permanent member of the French National Team. In the French Club Championship Series, Morel represented the club Beauvais, which e.g. in 2006, 2009 and in 2010 won both the French Club Championship Series Lyonnaise des Eaux and the National Club Championships in Gruissan. From 2013 to 2016, however, Morel will represent Issy les Moulineaux because of Beauvais' complete retreat from the elite sports.
Cassandre Beaugrand is a French triathlete. She is the only female triathlete to have won a gold medal in the three major competitions, Olympic Games (2024), World Championships (2024) and European Championships (2022).

Thomas Bishop is a British triathlete. He has represented England at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and finished in 7th place in the 2017 ITU World Triathlon Series overall standings. Originally from Derby, Bishop graduated from the University of Leeds and is now based in the city, training at the Leeds Triathlon Centre.
