Dr. Fernando José de França Dias Van-Dúnem is an Angolan political figure who was the First Vice-President of the African Union's Pan-African Parliament. He is a member of the ruling Popular Movement for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA) and served as Prime Minister of Angola twice during the 1990s.

Osvaldo de Jesus Serra Van-Dúnem was an Angolan politician and diplomat. His surname is of Flemish origin, from the well known Angolan Family, "the Van-Dúnem family". He was appointed Interior Minister on 16 December 2002 by Prime Minister Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos.

Maria de Lourdes Pereira dos Santos Van-Dúnem was an Angolan singer. Usually called Lourdes Van-Dúnem, she was born in Luanda, and rose to stardom in the 1960s with the group Ngola Ritmos. She recorded her first album, Monami, with this group. She toured several times in Portugal, Algeria, and Brazil, in addition to performances in Angola. After her first album, most of her career was spent with the group Jovens do Prenda.

Pedro de Castro van Dúnem, also known as Comandante Loy, was an Angolan politician. He served in various leading functions within the MPLA during the Angolan liberation struggle against Portuguese colonial rule and within the country's government after achieving independence.

Afonso Van-Dunem aka M'Binda was an Angolan politician. Van-Dunem worked as the MPLA-Workers' Party representative in Zambia and Tanzania from 1970 to 1972, as well as being elected to the Central Committee of the MPLA from 1976 onwards. He was also Minister of External Relations from 1985 to 1989 and Permanent Representative to the United Nations from 1991 to 2000.

The Pavilhão Acácias Rubras is an Angolan indoor sporting arena located in Benguela. The arena, built on the occasion of the 2007 Afrobasket along with the Pavilhão Nossa Senhora do Monte in Lubango, Pavilhão Serra Van-Dúnem in Huambo and the Pavilhão do Tafe in Cabinda, has a 2,100-seat capacity.

Neide Núria de Sousa Van-Dúnem Vieira, also known as Neide, is a popular Angolan contemporary singer, songwriter, and film/television actress. Born and raised in Luanda, Angola, Neide started her acting career in local theater in 2003, at the age of 17, being cast in the television soap "Sede de Viver" a year later. Her singing career officially began in 2007 with the release of the hit single "Olá Baby" in the compilation album Eu e Elas , a song for which the video reached the number two spot on the MTV Africa Video Chart.
