The following is a list of coaches who have coached the Australia national cricket team in international cricket matches and tournaments.

List of Australia men's national cricket coaches

Prior to 1986, Australia did not select coaches as long-term appointments. Managers were appointed to handle the logistics of overseas tours and the assistant manager often doubled as the coach for the duration of the trip. Sometimes the team captain filled the Australian coaching role, particularly for home matches.

Shaun Tait is a former Australian professional cricketer who was appointed as the bowling coach of the Pakistan national cricket team in February 2022. He played as a right arm fast bowler and represented Australia in all three forms of cricket, but had most success in One Day Internationals, in which he was a member of Australia's undefeated team at the 2007 Cricket World Cup, and Twenty20 cricket. Tait won four different awards throughout his career including the Bradman Young Cricketer of the Year in 2004. He is considered one of the fastest bowlers of all time. Tait was a member of the Australian team that won the 2007 Cricket World Cup.

Rodney William Marsh was an Australian professional cricketer who played as a wicketkeeper for the Australian national team.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Western Australia cricket team</span> Cricket team in Australia

The Western Australian men’s cricket team, formerly nicknamed the Western Warriors, represent the Australian state of Western Australia in Australian domestic cricket. The team is selected and supported by the Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA), and plays its home games at the WACA Ground and Perth Stadium in Perth. The team mainly plays matches against other Australian states in the first-class Sheffield Shield competition and the limited-overs JLT One-Day Cup, but occasionally plays matches against touring international sides. Western Australia previously also fielded sides at Twenty20 level, but was replaced by the Perth Scorchers for the inaugural 2011–12 season of the Big Bash League. Western Australia's current captain is Mitchell Marsh, and the current coach is Adam Voges.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Mohammed Shami</span> Indian cricketer

Mohammed Shami is an Indian international cricketer who plays for India in all formats as a right-arm fast or fast medium bowler. He has played for Bengal in domestic cricket and for four teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Shami bowls the ball off the seam and uses swing, including reverse swing, to move the ball both ways. He has been reputed to have an edge in the "death (closing) overs" of a limited-overs innings and, in all formats, has been described as being at times "unplayable". He is widely considered among the best bowlers of his generation and one of the greatest fast bowlers India has produced. Shami is India’s leading wicket taker at ICC Men’s Cricket World Cups with 55 wickets in 18 matches and is the current Indian record holder for best bowling spell in an ODI, as he claimed 7 wickets for 57 runs against New Zealand in November 2023. Shami is also the fastest bowler to take 50 wickets in the 48 year history of Cricket World Cup spanning 13 editions.

Geoffrey Robert Marsh is an Australian former cricketer, coach and selector. He played 50 Test matches and 117 One Day Internationals for Australia as an opening batsman. Marsh was a part of the Australian team that won their first world title during the 1987 Cricket World Cup. As the coach of Australia he was in charge when Australia won the 1999 Cricket World Cup in England. He later coached Zimbabwe (2001–2004) and Sri Lanka (2011–12).

Mahendra Singh Dhoni is an Indian professional cricketer, who plays as a wicket-keeper-batsman. Steven Peter Devereux Smith is an Australian international cricketer and former captain of the Australian national team. Regarded by some as the best Test batsman of the modern era, as well as one of the greatest in the history of the sport, Smith has drawn comparisons to Don Bradman for his high Test batting average and been labelled 'the best since Bradman'. Smith was a member of the Australian team that won the 2015 and 2023 Cricket World Cup, the 2021 ICC T20 World Cup, and the 2023 ICC World Test Championship final.

Travis Michael Head is an Australian international cricketer. He is contracted to South Australia and the Adelaide Strikers for domestic matches. He is an aggressive left-handed opening batsman in limited overs formats while he plays in the middle-order in Tests. He is also a part-time right arm off-spin bowler. He was formerly a co vice-captain of the Australian national team in Tests from January 2019 to November 2020. Head was a key member of the Australian team that won the 2023 ICC World Test Championship final, as he was the Player of the Match with his innings of 163 runs. In the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup final, Head led Australia to victory over India with an impressive 137 off 120 balls.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2018 Australian ball-tampering scandal</span> Cricket cheating scandal

The 2018 Australian ball-tampering scandal, also known as the Sandpapergate scandal, was a cricket cheating scandal surrounding the Australian national cricket team. In March 2018, during the third Test match against South Africa at Newlands in Cape Town, Cameron Bancroft was caught by television cameras trying to rough up one side of the ball with sandpaper to make it swing in flight. Captain Steve Smith and vice-captain David Warner were found to be involved and all three received unprecedented sanctions from Cricket Australia. Although he was found not to have been directly involved, Australia's coach, Darren Lehmann, announced he would step down from his role following the scandal. Smith was replaced by Tim Paine as captain in all formats before Aaron Finch took over from Paine in ODIs and T20Is.
