This is a list of notable Azerbaijani film directors, which is arranged alphabetically.
Quba District is one of the 66 districts of Azerbaijan. Located in the northeast of the country, it belongs to the Guba-Khachmaz Economic Region. The district borders the districts of Qusar, Qabala, Ismayilli, Shamakhi, Shabran, and Khachmaz. Its capital and largest city is Quba. As of 2020, the district had a population of 173,400.
Marziyya Yusuf gizi Davudova, also spelled Marziya Davudova, was a Russian-born Soviet Azerbaijani actress who starred in theatre and silent film. She was awarded the People's Artist of the USSR (1949).
Fakhraddin Manaf oglu Manafov is an Azerbaijani actor.
Abbas Mirza Mirza Abdulrasul oghlu Sharifzadeh was a Soviet Azerbaijan actor of opera, theatre, and silent film; a film director; and a film editor. He was awarded the title Honored Artist of the Azerbaijan SSR (1935).

The first Azerbaijani language version started 9 August 2002 and was known as Milyonçu. Dövlətli olmaq istərdinmi? and presented by İlhamiyyə Rzayeva and Azər Şabanov. Milyonçu. Dövlətli olmaq istərdinmi? was broadcast for five years before it went off air.
Bismillah is a 1925 Soviet Azerbaijani propaganda film, the first film by the Azerbaijani director Abbas-Mirza Sharifzade, it is a silent film drama about religious fanaticism and with an anti-Islamic theme. The movie was shot at a time when there was a fight against the Islamic religion in the country. The film was considered a significant success of Azerbaijani cinematography, and starred a nearly all-Azerbaijani cast.
The Union of Cinematographers of Azerbaijan is a public creative organization. The Union unites Azerbaijani film artists on a voluntary basis.
Honored Artist of the Azerbaijan SSR was an honorary title awarded by the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Azerbaijan Soviet Socialist Republic and was one of the forms of recognition by the state and society of the merits of distinguished citizens. The awards were issued from January 13, 1929 to June 2, 1990; and there were more than 600 recipients.
"Safa" Society was a charitable society that operated in Baku at the beginning of the 20th century. The goal of the society was to involve children from poor families in education, to provide medical assistance to the poor, to increase the level of culture of the people.
