Banaras Hindu Universitylisten  (BHU) is a collegiate, central, and research university located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India, and founded in 1916. The university incorporated the Central Hindu College, founded by Indian Home Rule-leaguer and Theosophist, Annie Besant in 1898. After Besant and her associates were marginalized, the university was established by Madan Mohan Malaviya with the financial support of the maharaja of Dharbhanga Rameshwar Singh, the maharaja of Benares Prabhu Narayan Singh, and the lawyer Sunder Lal. With over 30,000 students, and 18,000 residing on campus, BHU is the largest residential university in Asia. The university is one of the eight public institutions declared as an Institute of Eminence by the Government of India.

Reetika Khera is an Indian development economist. Khera is Professor (Economics) at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. She was Associate Professor at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad from 2018-20.

The vice-chancellor of Banaras Hindu University (VC-BHU) is the chief administrator, and a full-time salaried officer of the Banaras Hindu University. The vice-chancellor derives his powers from sections 7(B) and 7(C) of the Banaras Hindu University Act and from the statutes of the said act.

Kashiyatra, also known as KY, is the annual socio-cultural festival of Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi. It is a four-day long mega event held in January every year, and is one of the most prominent college festivals in India. Kashiyatra is one of the largest socio-culture festivals in Asia where 360+ colleges/universities take part.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Khesari Lal Yadav</span> Indian actor, singer, comedian and dancer

Shatrughan Kumar Yadav, known professionally as Khesari Lal Yadav, is an Indian actor, singer, dancer and model primarily working in Bhojpuri cinema. Also known by the Initialism KLY, Khesari has appeared in more than 70 films including one Bollywood film, and performed as vocalist in more than 5000 songs. Apart from Bhojpuri, he has also worked in Hindi, Awadhi and Haryanvi languages.

Rajeshwar Acharya is a Hindustani classical vocalist from Varanasi, India. In 2019, he was conferred the Padma Shri honour by the President of India for his contribution to the field of arts.

Aarun Nagar is an Indian film director, writer, editor, producer and actor known for his works in Hindi-language films.

Aman Singh Gulati is an Indian visual artist. He paints artworks on multiple miniature objects including almonds, matchsticks etc. He achieved multiple national and international awards including multiple world records, including Guinness World Records. Some of Gulati's works promote various social causes. In 2019, he created a portrait of each of the 44 soldiers who died in the then-recent Pulwama attack.

Yedla C. Simhadri was an Indian academician and administrator. He has been the vice-chancellor of many Indian universities including Banaras Hindu University, Patna University, Andhra University, and Acharya Nagarjuna University.

The Maghar Mahotsav, is an annual cultural festival, held in Maghar, Uttar Pradesh, India in memory of famous saint Kabir. It is held every year in January. Mahotsav is organized in collaboration with the Department of Tourism (UP), Department of Culture (UP) and District Administration of Sant Kabir Nagar.

Kaushal Kishore Mishra (also Koushal Kishor Mishra) (born 1957) is a retired professor of political science at the Banaras Hindu University (BHU). He was formerly the Dean (27th) of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, preceding Arvind Kumar Joshi. Previously, he has been the head of the department of Political Science at Faculty of Social Sciences, Banaras Hindu University from 2014 to 2017. He has been the chair of the Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Chair. He edited the Indian Journal of Political Science from 2016 to 2018.

The Banaras Hindu University Kulgeet (BHU Kulgeet), i.e., Madhur Manohar Ateev Sundar (transl. sweet serene, infinitely beautiful) is a poem written by Indian chemist and university professor Shanti Swaroop Bhatnagar. It has been composed by Pt. Omkar Nath Thakur.

Zainul Abideen is an ultramarathon runner from Moradabad district Uttar Pradesh, India. He is popularly known as Moradabad Express. He is first Indian 12 Hour Ultra Marathon Runner On Manual Treadmill For Guinness Book Of World Records in Moradabad. This run held in mid city of Moradabad in general public this run is dedicated to police & charity run for Philip memorial Methodist church, pili kothi. The record for completing the Golden Triangle on foot was also set by Abideen. He started his journey on July 24, 2018, from New Delhi and finished on July 31, 2018, at India Gate, New Delhi, covering 720 km in 7 days, 22 hours and 50 minutes spreading awareness for 'Run for Women Safety Against Acid/Rape Attack'. In September 2018, he ran 120 kilometres in 23 hours 16 minutes in Kargil, India and finish with podium Tiger Hill challenge. In ultramarathon overall 643 km covered so far in official ultramarathon events across nation as per DUV Ultramarathon stats & 310 km as per ITRA stats in Trail running.

Sanjay Nishad is an Indian politician serving as a cabinet minister in the Second Yogi Adityanath ministry. He has been a member of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council since 2021. As a member of the Nishad caste, he founded the NISHAD Party in 2016.

Shivam Sadana is an Indian Punjabi/Hindi singer, rapper and songwriter from Uttarakhand associated with the Punjabi music industry. Known for his Punjabi songs like 'Paave Gucci', 'Kaint Teri nazran' and 'Soniye kyun'.

Shriram Sharma was an Indian author and freedom fighter. He founded All World Gayatri Pariwar which has 150 million members and 5000 centers worldwide and Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya. He praised the significance of Gayatri Mantra. He is the writer of more than three thousand four hundred(3400) booklets.he is Interpreter of Entire Vedic Scripture – Vedas, Puranas, Upanishads. he is Pioneer of Scientific Spirituality.

Nitin Dubey is an Indian singer, composer, actor, and lyricist. He is better known for his melodious singing and compositions in Chhattisgarhi cinema and has been working as a playback singer from last two decades. In year 2023 he was honoured with "Chhattisgarh Ratna" award for his contribution in the field of art and music.
