The Bermuda national football team represents Bermuda in international football, and is controlled by the Bermuda Football Association, which is a member of the CONCACAF.
The Bermuda Football Association, founded in 1928, is the official football organization in Bermuda and is in charge of the Bermudian national team. The league is also in charge of the sporting leagues on the island.
A variety of sports are played in British Overseas Territory of Bermuda, from those brought by British and International relations, and sail racing). Some sports and events have greater historical and cultural significance whilst others are played for entertainment or competition.
The Bermuda women's national cricket team represents the British overseas territory of Bermuda in international women's cricket matches. The team made its international debut in 2006 and qualified for the 2008 Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier, but has played no international matches since 2012.
The Canada women's national cricket team is the team that represents the country of Canada in international women's cricket matches. The team made its international debut in 2006, although Cricket Canada has been an associate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 1968. Canada is one of the leading associate members in the ICC Americas region. The team is yet to qualify for any ICC global events but did reach the 2013 ICC Women's World Twenty20 Qualifier.
The Honourable Kenneth Howard Randolph "Randy" Horton, JP, MP is a former soccer and cricket player from Bermuda who is currently Speaker of the House of Assembly of Bermuda. He was named North American Soccer League Most Valuable Player in 1972.
The Trinidad and Tobago national rugby union team has thus far not qualified for the Rugby World Cup, but has participated in qualifying tournaments since 1999. They are classed as a tier-three nation by World Rugby.
Football has been a regular event since 1989 at the Island Games, the biennial multi-sports event for island nations, territories and dependencies. A 5-a-side competition for under-16s was held at the inaugural event on the Isle of Man, and the success this minor competition brought to the games meant senior men's football was included on the itinerary for the first time in the Faroe Islands, in 1989.
