Azerbaijan participated in and won the 'Eurovision Song Contest 2011 with the song "Running Scared" written by Stefan Örn, Sandra Bjurman and Iain James Farquharson. The song was performed by Ell and Nikki. The Azerbaijani broadcaster İctimai Television (İTV) organised the national final Milli Seçim Turu 2011 in order to select the Azerbaijani Eurovision entrant to represent the nation at the 2011 contest in Düsseldorf, Germany. 77 artists competed in the national final which consisted of nine shows: seven heats, a semi-final and a final. Five artists qualified to compete in the final on 11 February 2011 where a seven-member jury panel selected Eldar Gasimov and Nigar Jamal as the winners to represent Azerbaijan as a duet. The song "Running Scared" was later internally selected and presented to the public on 14 March.

Nigar Jamal Musical artist

Nigar Aydin qizi Jamal, sometimes known as Nikki Jamal, is an English-Azerbaijani singer. Born and raised in Baku, she has resided in London since 2005. She won the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 with Eldar Gasimov with the song "Running Scared". She and Gasimov have since performed as a duo on various occasions under the name Ell & Nikki.

Ell & Nikki, also known as Eldar & Nigar, are an Azerbaijani pop duo consisting of singers Eldar Gasimov and Nigar Jamal. On 14 May 2011 they won the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 for Azerbaijan with their entry "Running Scared". It was the country's first win at the contest. Although Nigar Jamal represented Azerbaijan, she lives in Enfield, North London.

Amelie Morgan British artistic gymnast

Amelie Morgan is a British artistic gymnast. She represented Great Britain at the 2020 Summer Olympics and won a bronze medal in the team event. She is the 2021 European Championships bronze medalist on the uneven bars. Additionally, she won the silver medal in the all-around at the 2018 Youth Olympics, as well as a silver medal on the floor exercise and a bronze on the balance beam. At the 2018 Junior European Championships where she won five medals —the most medals won by a British junior female gymnast at the European Championships. She currently competes for the University of Utah's NCAA gymnastics team.
