Coronation Street is a British soap opera first broadcast on ITV on 9 December 1960. [1] This is a list of characters that will make their first appearance in 2026. The first character due to debut in 2026 is Jodie who will be played by actress and singer, Olivia Frances-Brown.

Jodie

Jodie, portrayed by Olivia Frances-Brown, will make her first appearance on 5 January 2026 in the special hour-long Corriedale crossover episode, where Coronation Street and other ITV1 soap Emmerdale crossover. [2] Her casting was announced on 16 December 2025 when the full cast for the special episode was announced. [2] Her character was listed under the Coronation Street cast of the episode, but little else has been revealed about her character, which has caused fans to speculate who Jodie could be. [3]
