The Academy Award for Best Picture is one of the Academy Awards presented annually by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) since the awards debuted in 1929. This award goes to the producers of the film and is the only category in which every member of the Oscars is eligible to submit a nomination and vote on the final ballot. The Best Picture category is usually the final award of the night and is widely considered as the most prestigious honor of the ceremony.
Zagreb Film is a Croatian film company principally known for its animation studio. From Zagreb, it was founded in 1953. They have produced hundreds of animated films, as well as documentaries, television commercials, educational films and several feature films.
Queen of the Night is a 2001 Croatian film directed by Branko Schmidt. It was Croatia's submission to the 74th Academy Awards for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, but was not accepted as a nominee.
Story from Croatia is a 1991 Croatian film directed by Krsto Papić. It was Croatia's submission to the 65th Academy Awards for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, but was not accepted as a nominee.
Countess Dora is a Croatian pseudo-biographical film about Croatian composer Dora Pejačević. Filmed in 1990, it was released in public in 1993. It was written and directed by Zvonimir Berković. It was Croatia's submission to the 66th Academy Awards for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, but was not accepted as a nominee.
Washed Out is a 1995 Croatian film directed by Zrinko Ogresta. The film was selected as the Croatian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 68th Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee. The winner of the Prix Italia (1996) for the best fiction.

The 33rd European Film Awards was scheduled to be presented in Reykjavík, Iceland on 12 December 2020. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic the Awards took place as a virtual ceremony without an audience, broadcast and streamed from the European Film Academy’s seat, Berlin, on Saturday, 12 December 2020. The European Film Academy (EFA), the Mayor of Reykjavik and the Icelandic Minister of Education, Science and Culture decided to cancel the event in the Icelandic capital in December 2020 and announced that instead the 35th European Film Awards Ceremony will be presented in Reykjavik in December 2022.
