Andrew Robert Kirk is a Northern Irish professional football coach and former player who is currently the assistant manager of Scottish Premiership club St Johnstone.

Peter Grant is a Scottish football player and coach. During his playing career, Grant played for Celtic, Norwich City, Reading and AFC Bournemouth. He was awarded a testimonial match, played against Bayern Munich, by Celtic in 1997. Grant played in two full international matches for Scotland, both in 1989. Since retiring as a player, Grant has since worked as a football coach. He was manager of Norwich City for a year, and also briefly the caretaker manager of Fulham. Grant has also managed Scottish sides Alloa Athletic and Dunfermline Athletic.

The 2007–08 season was Dunfermline Athletic's first season in the Scottish First Division, having been relegated from the Scottish Premier League at the end of the 2006–07 season. Dunfermline Athletic also competed in the Challenge Cup, League Cup, Scottish Cup and the UEFA Cup.

Callum Fordyce is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a centre-back, and is a player-assistant manager for Scottish Championship club Airdrieonians. Fordyce started his career as a youth player with Hibernian and Livingston, before signing with the Lions on a permanent senior contract, before going on to play for Dunfermline Athletic and Queen of the South. Fordyce also had a loan spell at Clyde whilst at the West Lothian club.

Rhys McCabe is a Scottish footballer and coach who plays as a central midfielder, and is the player-manager of Scottish Championship club Airdrieonians.

The 2015–16 season was Dunfermline Athletic's third and final season in the Scottish League One, having been relegated from the Scottish First Division at the end of the 2012–13 season. In addition to the league, Dunfermline Athletic also competed in the Challenge Cup, League Cup and the Scottish Cup, where they were knocked out by St Mirren, Dundee United and Ross County respectively. The club won the league on 26 March with five matches to spare, after defeating Brechin City 3–1 at East End Park. This, together with bottom side and Fife rivals Cowdenbeath unexpectedly beating the Pars nearest rivals Peterhead 1–0, saw Dunfermline return to the second tier for the first time since 2013.

The 2016–17 season was Dunfermline Athletic's first season in the Scottish Championship, having finished top of the Scottish League One in 2015–16. The Pars were relegated from the competition's previous incarnation, the Scottish First Division at the end of the 2012–13 season.

The 2016–17 season was Hibernian's (Hibs) third season of play in the second tier of Scottish football the Scottish Championship, since they were relegated from the Scottish Premiership at the end of the 2013–14 season. Hibs also competed in the Europa League, Challenge Cup, League Cup and they defended the Scottish Cup after winning the 2016 final.

Lewis Robert Spence is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for East Kilbride. Spence has previously played for Dunfermline Athletic, two short loan spells with Brechin City, Dundee, Ross County, Hamilton Academical and Edinburgh City.

Dunfermline Athletic F.C. is a Scottish football club based in Dunfermline. Formed on 2 June 1885, the club first joined the Scottish Football League in 1912, participating in the Scottish Football League Second Division. The club were promoted to the top division of Scottish football for the first time in 1926, though they spent the majority of their first forty years in the second tier.

The 2018–19 season was Dunfermline Athletic's third season in the Scottish Championship, having finished 4th in the 2017–18 season.
