Heart of Midlothian F.C., commonly known as Hearts, is a professional football club based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Formed in 1874, the club has employed a manager to run the team since 1901, the first being Peter Fairley.

Cambridge United Football Club is a professional association football club based in the city of Cambridge, England. They compete in EFL League One, the third level of the English football league system.
Valdas Ivanauskas is a Lithuanian professional football manager and former player who played as a striker.
Neil MacFarlane is a Scottish professional football coach and former player, who is head coach of Brentford B and Scotland U19. MacFarlane played as a defensive midfielder for a number of clubs at all four levels of the Scottish league system. After his retirement as a player in 2011, he became a coach and was appointed to his first managerial role at English non-League club Kidderminster Harriers in 2018. One year later, he was appointed head coach of Brentford B.
James McIntyre is a Scottish football coach and former player who was most recently the manager of Arbroath.
Stephen Charles Frail is a Scottish football coach and former player, who is currently assistant manager of Scottish Premiership club Motherwell and previously Scottish Premiership club Dundee United. He played for Dundee, Heart of Midlothian, Tranmere Rovers, St Johnstone and Greenock Morton. Returning to Hearts as a coach, he was in charge of the first team between 2007 and 2008, partially alongside Anatoliy Korobochka. He is the uncle of Andrew Robertson.
The 2007–08 season was the 127th season of competitive football by Heart of Midlothian, and their 25th consecutive season in the top level of Scottish football, competing in the Scottish Premier League. Hearts also competed in the Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup.
