Alexander Stewart is a Scottish football player and coach. Stewart played as a full-back for Hearts, Kilmarnock, Airdrieonians, Partick Thistle and Airdrie United. He became the latter club's first manager, and has been an assistant manager at several clubs in Scotland, England, the United States and India, working with Owen Coyle.

Brian Patrick Carey is a former Irish international footballer who played in the Football League for Leicester City as well as Wrexham, whom he also served as manager. Since his playing retirement he has worked as the Assistant Manager at Doncaster and Wolves and Chesterfield FC. He was the Lead Professional Development a Coach at Blackburn Rovers until May 2015. He is a UEFA A Licence Coach, holds a BSc in Sport Coaching and Exercise Science and he has represented Republic of Ireland at Senior International Level.

Jimmy Boyle is a Scottish football player and coach who is currently the assistant manager of Cove Rangers. He is best known for the eight years he spent with the original Airdrieonians, and the manager of new Airdrieonians from 2010–2013. He played in two Scottish Cup Finals in his time with the original Airdrieonians.

The 2011–12 Football League Championship was the eighth season of the league under its current title and nineteenth season under its current league division format.

Mark Ridgers is a professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Scottish Championship club Inverness Caledonian Thistle. He has previously played for Heart of Midlothian, Ross County, St Mirren, Partick Thistle and Orlando City B in the United Soccer League, as well as Airdrie United, East Fife and Kilmarnock on loan. He has also represented Scotland at under-21 level.

The 2010–11 season was Airdrie United's first season back in the Scottish Second Division, having been relegated from the Scottish First Division at the end of the 2009–10 season. They also competed in the Challenge Cup, League Cup and the Scottish Cup.

The 2002–03 Football League First Division was the eleventh season of the league under its current format as the second tier of English football.

Season 2006–07 was Airdrie United's fifth competitive season. They competed in the First Division, Challenge Cup, League Cup and the Scottish Cup.

The 2012–13 Football League Two was the ninth season of the league under its current title and twentieth season under its current league division format. It started on 18 August 2012 and finished on 27 April 2013 with all matches that day kicking off simultaneously.

Airdrieonians Football Club is a Scottish professional football team in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire, who are members of the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) and play in Scottish League One. They were formed in 2002 as Airdrie United Football Club following the liquidation of the original Airdrieonians club, formed in 1878. The club's official name was changed in 2013 with the approval of the Scottish Football Association to the traditional name of Airdrieonians. As with the previous club, this is often colloquially shortened to simply "Airdrie".
