Background
This event was the second major amateur wrestling event hosted in the United States during the COVID-19 pandemic after Rumble on the Rooftop. [4] It was originally going to feature just three bouts, Kyle Dake vs. Frank Chamizo, David Taylor vs. Pat Downey and Anthony Ashnault vs. Luke Pletcher. [5]
On July 6, Ashnault was forced to pull out of his bout against Pletcher after suffering an injury [6] and was replaced by Darrion Caldwell on July 10. [7]
On July 8 and 10 respectively, bouts between Roman Bravo-Young vs. Jack Mueller and Vitali Arujau vs. Sammy Alvarez were added to the card. [8] [9]
On July 12, the co-main event formed by David Taylor and Pat Downey fell apart after Downey had problems with the organization and withdrew from the card. [10] He was replaced by Myles Martin on July 15. [11]

Jordan Ernest Burroughs is an American freestyle wrestler and former folkstyle wrestler who currently competes at 74 kilograms.
Kyle Douglas Dake is an American freestyle wrestler and graduated folkstyle wrestler who currently competes at 74 kilograms. Dake is a four-time and the reigning World Champion, winning back-to-back titles twice, at 79 kilos in 2018 and 2019 and 74 kilos in 2021 and 2022. He claimed a bronze medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo. During his first World Championship tournament, Dake outscored his opposition 37 points to zero, not surrendering a single point.
Darrion Caldwell is an American mixed martial artist and graduated collegiate wrestler, who currently competes in the bantamweight division. He formely competed in Bellator MMA, where he is the former Bellator Bantamweight World Champion. A professional since 2012, he has also competed for Legacy FC. As a folkstyle wrestler, Caldwell was the 2009 NCAA Division I National Champion, and a two-time All-American at 149 pounds out of the North Carolina State University. He was also a four-time ACC Conference champion.
David Morris Taylor III is an American freestyle and graduated folkstyle wrestler who currently competes at 86 kilograms.
