The data is collected by the Korea Music Content Association (KMCA) and ranks songs according to their performance on the Gaon Download, Streaming and BGM charts. Below is a list of songs that topped the weekly and monthly charts. The actual overall best-performing song on the chart of 2011, T-ara's "Roly-Poly", did not top any weekly or monthly chart—becoming the first (and, so far, only) time this feat has happened in the chart's history.

Bonamana is the fourth studio album by South Korean boy band Super Junior. It is the first album with ten out of the original 13 members to take part, also marking the first album not to feature all active members. It was first released as Version A, on May 13, 2010, by SM Entertainment. This was followed by Version B on May 20, which included behind-the-scenes photos from their stage performances and music video shoots. A repackaged version C was released on June 28, with four new tracks including follow-up single "No Other".
Digital Bounce is the first mini-album by South Korean recording artist Seven. It was released in South Korea on July 21, 2010, under YG Entertainment. After releasing his fourth studio album Sevolution in 2006, Seven spent the next three years working on entering the American music market. After the unsuccessful stint, he returned to South Korea and began recording songs for Digital Bounce. The album features a heavier presence of electronic dance music than Seven's previous albums, but still incorporates his signature R&B and pop sound.

The Circle Digital Chart, previously known as the Gaon Digital Chart, is the music industry standard record chart ranking the 200 most popular singles in South Korea. It provides rankings on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis, which is based on an aggregate of streaming, downloads and background music from major South Korean music platforms, as well as video ringback tone sales from the V Coloring app. It is a part of the Circle Chart, previously known as the Gaon Chart.
GD&TOP is the debut album of South Korean hip-hop duo GD & TOP, members of Big Bang. Released on December 24, 2010, the album marks the first official collaboration between the two artists. The duo promoted the album extensively, including a worldwide premiere showcase and numerous performances. Three singles were released for promotion: "High High", "Oh Yeah", and "Knockout". While "High High" went on to become a chart-topper, the latter two singles peaked at number 2 and 3 respectively.
Wonder World is the second Korean-language studio album by South Korean girl group Wonder Girls, released on November 7, 2011, through JYP Entertainment. The track "Be My Baby" served as the lead single from album. Both the album and the single were a commercial success, both having topped the Gaon Album and Digital charts respectively. To promote Wonder World, the group appeared on several South Korean music programs; additionally, Wonder Girls embarked on their Wonder World Tour in July 2012.

"Good Day" is a song recorded in two languages by South Korean singer IU. The Korean version was released on December 9, 2010, as the lead single for IU's third extended play (EP) Real. It was written by Kim Eana, while production was handled by Lee Min-soo. The Japanese version was originally included on IU's first Japanese extended play I□U, released on December 14, 2011, before being released on March 21, 2012, as IU's first single album Good Day.
"Bubble Pop!" is a song recorded by South Korean singer Hyuna for her debut extended play Bubble Pop! (2011). It was released as the title track from the EP by Cube Entertainment and Universal Music on July 5, 2011. The lyrics were written by Shinsadong Tiger and Choi Kyusung, who also composed the music. To promote the song and EP, Hyuna appeared on several South Korean music programs, including Music Bank, Show! Music Core and Inkigayo. A music video for the song was released on July 4 and has surpassed 100 million views on YouTube, making her the first female Korean solo artist to reach this milestone.
GD & TOP was a South Korean hip-hop/pop duo formed by G-Dragon and T.O.P, the rappers of the K-pop boy band Big Bang in 2010. The release of their first album, GD & TOP (2010) was a commercial success becoming one of the best selling albums of the year in South Korea, and spawning the top-five hits "High High", "Oh Yeah", and "Knock Out" on the Gaon Digital Chart. After a five-year hiatus, they released the single "Zutter", which peaked at number two on the Gaon Digital Chart.
"Love" is a song recorded by South Korean rock band CNBLUE. It is the lead single to the band's second mini-album Bluelove. Written by Han Seong-ho, Kim Do-hoon, and Lee Sang-ho, the modern rock number was released by FNC Entertainment and distributed by Kakao M on May 19, 2010. "You & I" is a song recorded in Korean and Japanese by South Korean singer IU from her second Korean-language studio album Last Fantasy (2011). The Korean version was released on November 29, 2011 through LOEN Entertainment, and was written and produced by Kim Eana and Lee Min-soo, respectively. The song was a huge domestic success, achieving the top spot on the Gaon Digital Chart and went on to sell more 7,000,000 digital units by 2021. According to Gaon, "You & I" is the second best-selling single in South Korea since 2010, ranking only behind Busker Busker's "Cherry Blossom Ending" (2012).
Yoo Chan-wook, known professionally as Be'O, is a South Korean rapper and songwriter. He first garnered attention when he appeared on the rap competition TV show Show Me the Money 10 in 2021.
