List of Circle Digital Chart number ones of 2023

The Circle Digital Chart is a chart that ranks the best-performing singles in South Korea. Managed by the domestic Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST), its data is compiled by the Korea Music Content Industry Association and published by the Circle Chart. [1] [2] The ranking is based collectively on each single's download sales, stream count, and background music use. [2] The Circle Chart provides weekly (listed from Sunday to Saturday), monthly, and yearly lists for the chart.

In 2018, the group released their first studio album, NCT 2018 Empathy, which peaked at number two on South Korea's Circle Album Chart and received a 2× platinum certification, awarded by the Korea Music Content Association (KMCA). Their next album, NCT 2020 Resonance, was released in two parts, which topped the Circle Album Chart, earning NCT their first number-one in the country. SM Station is a digital music project by South Korean record label SM Entertainment. It undertook to release one digital single every Friday starting from February 3, 2016.

They have also participated in six collaboration songs and two soundtrack contributions. Formed by Cube Entertainment in 2018, (G)I-dle debuted on May 2, 2018, with EP I Am with the song "Latata" as their first single. The group continued with the release of their first digital single titled "Hann (Alone)" on August 14, 2018, peaking at number 8 on the Gaon Digital Chart. They released their second mini album titled I Made on February 26, 2019, followed by the release of their second digital single titled "Uh-Oh" on June 26. A month later, (G)I-dle began their venture into the Japanese music market with the release of Latata on July 31. The same year, two more singles—"Put It Straight " and "Lion"—was released through their participation in Mnet's survival show Queendom. "Lion" managed to gain commercial success and was nominated in Korean Music Awards.

Lee Mu-jin is a South Korean singer and songwriter. He rose to fame after appearing on the music audition show Sing Again in 2020, in which he finished in 3rd place. Kep1er is a South Korean girl group formed through the Mnet reality competition show Girls Planet 999 in 2021 and managed by Swing Entertainment and WakeOne. The group consists of nine members: Kim Chae-hyun, Huening Bahiyyih, Choi Yu-jin, Kim Da-yeon, Seo Young-eun, Kang Ye-seo, Hikaru Ezaki, Mashiro Sakamoto, and Shen Xiaoting. They debuted on January 3, 2022, with the extended play (EP) First Impact and would be active for two years and six months.
