Hrvatski nogometni klub Rijeka, commonly referred to as HNK Rijeka, is a Croatian professional association football club from the city of Rijeka.
The Croatian Football Super Cup is a football match between the winners of the Croatian national top league and football cup. The Super Cup is always held at the beginning of a new football season, and is only held when different clubs win the two most important competitions in the previous season.
Kantrida Stadium is a football stadium in the Croatian city of Rijeka. It is named after the Kantrida neighbourhood in which it is located, in the western part of the city. It has served as the home of the HNK Rijeka football club for most years since at least 1918. The stadium has a distinctive appearance as it is situated between steep cliffs, a remnant of an old quarry, just north of the stadium and the shore of the Adriatic on its south side.
HNK Orijent is a football club from Sušak, the eastern part of the city of Rijeka, Croatia. The club was established under the name Orient in 1919. They compete in the 1. NL, the second tier of the Croatian football league system. It is a phoenix club of NK Orijent which ceased activities in 2014 due to financial difficulties. The club is resurrected the same year under the new name, HNK Orijent 1919, but in September 2022 club assembly decided to bring back an old name, HNK Orijent.

The 1992 Croatian First Football League was the first season of the top Croatian football league. It was the inaugural season of the league established following Croatia's independence from Yugoslavia. Affected by the political and social upheavals stemming from the breakup of Yugoslavia and the early stages of the 1991–95 war, the season was drastically shortened and played over the course of less than four months, from 29 February to 13 June.
Srećko Juričić is a Croatian former professional footballer, who is currently the sporting director for HNK Rijeka. Juričić has also had a career as a manager coaching: HNK Rijeka, Koper, Primorje, HIT Gorica, Istra, Al-Riffa, Ittihad Kalba, Al-Ahli Dubai, Sharjah FC, Qatar SC, Al Wasl FC, Al Taawoun FC and internationally the UAE, UAE U-20, Bahrain, Oman and Yemen national teams.
The 1946 Croatian Football Championship was a two-stage competition for clubs from PR Croatia which served as a qualifying tournament for the new post-war First League in communist Yugoslavia, and its inaugural 1946–47 edition.

The 1978–79 season was the 33rd season in Rijeka’s history and their 17th season in the Yugoslav First League. Their 5th place finish in the 1977–78 season meant it was their fifth successive season playing in the Yugoslav First League.
The 1979–80 season was the 34th season in Rijeka’s history and their 18th season in the Yugoslav First League. Their 10th place finish in the 1978–79 season meant it was their sixth successive season playing in the Yugoslav First League.
The 1990–91 season was the 45th season in Rijeka's history and their 29th season in the Yugoslav First League. Their 6th place finish in the 1989–90 season meant it was their 17th successive season playing in the Yugoslav First League. This was also the last season in which Croatian clubs participated in the Yugoslav league.
The 2017–18 season is Dinamo Zagreb's 27th season in the Croatian First Division and 105th year in existence as a football club.
Osijek–Rijeka derby is the name given to matches between NK Osijek and HNK Rijeka. On Croatian First Football League all-time table Rijeka and Osijek are on the third and fourth place. Rijeka is the third-most successful Croatian football club, having won one Croatian First Football League title, six Croatian Football Cups, two Yugoslav Cups, one Croatian Football Super Cup and the 1977–78 Balkans Cup. Osijek won one Croatian Football Cup.
