Herefordshire County Cricket Club was established in 1992, with it joining the Minor Counties Championship in the same year as a replacement for Durham who had been elevated to first-class status at the end of the previous season. The club has played minor counties cricket since, and played List A cricket from 1995 to 2004, using a different number of home grounds during that time. Their first home minor counties fixture in 1992 was against Wales Minor Counties at The Park, Brockhampton, while their first home List A match came seven years later against Wiltshire in the 1999 NatWest Trophy at the same venue.

Herefordshire is a ceremonial county in the West Midlands, England. It borders Shropshire to the north, Worcestershire to the east, Gloucestershire to the south-east, and the Welsh counties of Monmouthshire and Powys to the west. The city of Hereford is the largest settlement and county town.
Colwall is a civil parish in Herefordshire, England, situated on the border with Worcestershire, nestling on the western side of the Malvern Hills at the heart of the AONB. Areas of the village are known as Colwall Stone, Upper Colwall which shares a common border at the Wyche Cutting with the Malvern suburb of Malvern Wells, and Colwall Green, spread along 2 miles (3.2 km) of the B4218 road, with the historic village core being 1 mile (1.6 km) to the west of Colwall Stone.
Herefordshire County Cricket Club is one of twenty minor county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Herefordshire. The team is currently a member of the Minor Counties Championship Western Division and plays in the MCCA Knockout Trophy. Herefordshire played List A matches occasionally from 1995 until 2004 but is not classified as a List A team per se.
The Racecourse Ground is a cricket ground in Hereford. The ground is located inside Hereford Racecourse and is the only remaining former first-class cricket venue in England which lies inside a racecourse. It played host to first-class and List A cricket matches for Worcestershire County Cricket Club between 1919 and 1988, and minor counties matches for Herefordshire County Cricket Club from 1992 to 1996.

The Racecourse is an open area on the River Wear in Durham, England of 11.6 hectares total that has been used as a sports ground since at least 1733. It forms part of Durham University's sports facilities as well as hosting local sports clubs. The Racecourse cricket ground, which has hosted first class matches, has been used since at least 1843, and is the home ground of Durham University's cricket team. The Racecourse also contains squash, tennis and fives courts, rugby, hockey and football pitches, and boathouses.
Michael Richard Cronin is a retired English cricketer. He was a left-handed batsman and right-arm off-break bowler who played for Shropshire. He was born in Bromyard, Herefordshire and educated at the Lady Hawkins Grammar School in Kington.
Huntingdonshire County Cricket Club is one of the county clubs which make up the minor counties in the English domestic cricket structure, representing the historic county of Huntingdonshire. The club does not currently compete in either the Minor Counties Championship or MCCA Knockout Trophy, but does play informal matches, typically against armed forces teams and county academies.

The first recorded county match on the ground was in 1974, when the Worcestershire Second XI played the Glamorgan Second XI in the Second XI Championship. The first Minor Counties Championship match played the on the ground was in 1993, and between Herefordshire and Cheshire. From 1993 to present, the ground has hosted 17 Minor Counties Championship matches and 6 MCCA Knockout Trophy matches.
The Park is a cricket ground in Brockhampton-by-Ross, Herefordshire. The ground was part of the Brockhampton Court estate.
