Suffolk County Cricket Club was originally established on 27 July 1864, and competed in the Minor Counties Championship from 1904 to 1914, though without success. The present club was founded in August 1932, and has since played minor counties cricket from that year, as well as playing in List A cricket from 1966 to 2005, using a different number of home grounds during that time. Their first home minor counties fixture in 1904 was against Norfolk at the Town Ground, Felixstowe, while their first home List A match came 62 years later against Kent in the 1966 Gillette Cup at Ipswich School Ground.

Suffolk is a ceremonial county of England in East Anglia. It borders Norfolk to the north, Cambridgeshire to the west and Essex to the south; the North Sea lies to the east. The Victory Ground is a cricket ground in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, England. The ground was established in 1935, when Suffolk played the Surrey Second XI in the ground's first Minor Counties Championship match. From 1935 to the present day, it has hosted 50 Minor Counties matches.

Wamil Way is a cricket ground in Mildenhall, Suffolk with two cricket fields, in a picturesque setting beside the River Lark. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1972, Suffolk played Hertfordshire in the grounds first Minor Counties Championship match. From 1972 to present, the ground has hosted 48 Minor Counties Championship matches, including the rain-affected 2005 final between Suffolk and Cheshire in 2005, which was drawn. and 2 MCCA Knockout Trophy matches.
Old London Road is a cricket ground in Copdock, Suffolk. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1847, when the Gentlemen of Suffolk played the Gentlemen of Norfolk. The ground hosted its first Minor Counties Championship match in 1992 when Suffolk played Norfolk. From 1992 to 2006, the ground hosted 5 Minor Counties Championship matches and 8 MCCA Knockout Trophy matches, the last of which saw Suffolk play Norfolk.
Cemetry Road was a cricket ground in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. The ground was known as Field Lane from 1826 to 1854 and was later known as the West Suffolk Cricket Ground. Today, the location of the ground would be along King's Road in Bury St Edmunds, with the stretch of the A1302 named Parkway bisecting the site.
The Suffolk Guild of Ringers for the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich is a society and charity supporting the bell ringers and rings of bells in the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich who practice the art of change ringing. The Guild was established on 2 April 1923 at Ipswich and covers over 200 rings of bells in the county of Suffolk in the area that falls within the diocese boundary.
